That has been blown out of all proportion. My first Canby I got in late at 11:30 and was let in. I was on the road about 18 hours and slept under the rear bumper of my 710 sedan. Road trips are more adventurous the less you prepare. In '69 a friend an I on 20 min notice left at 7:30 PM and drove all night from southern Ontario to Boston then up to Montreal.
