I have sold some stuff since I started on Instagram, And picked up a new customer so far. So yes it will help you with your business.

One of my employees set mine up. He had been on IG for quite a while. Now he is a little pissed, I have double the followers that he has

In half the time.....

 

Matt Just make sure you use lot's of #   CNC, machineshop,machineshoplife, 4thaxis,makingchips,cncporn, You get the idea.

Pinterest is kinda known for being a girlie what's hot in shopping website,, but i find quite a few ideas for future metal furniture/scuplture type stuff on there.. My son makes fun of me being on there but it seems about like Instagram to me and i do love pictures.

 

Not sure how you would go about selling/buying on there but there is a few website links and prices of stuff on there.   Maybe if the pictures you post have weblink back to you on them when others poach them for their collections,, the link is already there.

I don't have many followers so far but I can see how a big network could explode.

 

I hadn't thought about the #CNC or other Machine related tags. Thanks for the tips.

so do you guys instagram & snapchat? I don't do either but my stepsons do both. snapchat I just don't get - do you really wanna send a pic with each text? what's the difference between instagram & just texting & forwarding things???

Instagram is from what I see a photo album for everyone just to peruse or to scroll through a feed of current photo updates. I have no idea what snapchat is.

every message you send a picture. i never understood the point of it so i never got into it. and the pictures only last for so long so if someone sends you something you want to keep you have to screencap it otherwise it's gone

Bushes. It's not that I don't like change, (I don't) but I'm here aren't I?, which only shows that there was a need to search out fellow Datsun enthusiasts much like everyone here in this community.

 

Maybe this comes with age but I don't feel the need to expose myself, my life or my every thought to everyone on the planet. I grew up with trains powered with steam and airplanes with propellers and a party line telephone. I remember a kid in grade three bringing a portable transistor radio to school. You could walk around with it and not need a cord plugged in! Ever since we've been more and more closely 'connected' electronically. Kids today grow up knowing nothing else and it's normal for them. I just shake my head in wonder.

don't remember party lines but I remember when having a fifty foot cord that allowed you to take the family's land line into your room so mommy and daddy couldn't hear your conversations was the heighth of teenage privacy.
