They asked for comments, I gave my 200 cents worth. Fuck me, I'm so pissed off now, I'm going to have to crack a beer. Hadn't planned on it tonight, but this just.....fucking.....can't even think of more words to describe my annoyance. I'm just going to turn my back and hope this situation improves. Otherwise I'm selling all my Datsuns and buying a Mustang. I just can't handle Nissan anymore. I keep reminding myself Nissan died in 1998, but it doesn't help. AND THIS IS THE CONCEPT...we all know the concespt designs change so it may look even better. The bre version is the one ill get since it looks like theirs vents due to the nismo emblems. It's obvious Nissan is drawing on the 510 and Bluebird Coupe in designing these cars; with the basic box body shape (though distorted all to hell), the vents on the rear pillar, the dual headlights and horizontal line grill on the cream car, and the BRE stripes and hood mirrors on the other. The hap hazard mashup of these iconic Dime/Coupe visual cues plays off like cheep design gimmicks without the sonic line to hold it together. That simple line is the distinctive soul of these classic Japanese cars, and without it these cars look oafish and clumsy. Seriously dropped the ball there IMO. How many times have I been disappointed by Nissan's design crew? Short of the GTR, every damn time. There's no reason to believe they won't fuck this one up a tree too. 1 Quote Link to comment
