If you are going to move in and build where fire and wind have lived for the last 10,000 years, my plan would be to build more fireproof homes including cisterns that store rainwater and sprinklers and stop fucking around.

I don't believe that's true.. I think my stoner neighbors inlaws down by San Diego get some kinda goverment kick back for collecting water..  I was talking to them because i was looking into doing it at our beach home (shack ) instead of paying stupid high rates and being there 5-6 days out of the year.

My place is in Washington ,, so i don't know exact facts....................... That and those old dudes get so stoned you nod your head at them alot.

You're not allowed to collect rainwater in SoCal. It's illegal in most areas.

SMH, Where the flying F do you guys get your info, some I hate Cali club?

Not only is it legal, the state pays you to do it. Also many cities are subsidizing the cost of building a system.

Although I agree with your solution, just to set the record straight, there's geological evidence that shows California has had fires for much longer than the bible says it has. ?

PG&E falsified gas pipeline records for years after deadly explosion, regulators say

https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-pge-safety-investigation-20181214-story.html

"The fresh accusations add to growing uncertainty over PG&E’s viability as the power provider for 16 million people from Humboldt to Santa Barbara counties. The company could face bankruptcy if its infrastructure is found to have sparked the Camp fire, which killed 86 people last month. Critics have called for state regulators to break up the utility monopoly."

California utility equipment sparked more than 2,000 fires over three years

https://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-california-utilities-wildfires-regulators-20190128-story.html

"U.S. District Judge William Alsup cited the susceptibility of PG&E’s distribution lines coming into contact with trees during high-wind events as the most prevalent cause of 2017 and 2018 wildfires linked to the company’s equipment. On Wednesday, the company said performing inspections and cutting back vegetation could cost at least $75 billion and the job would be impossible to complete in the given time."

Didn't a faulty PG&E pipeline cause the explosion that destroyed an entire block and killed couple people not too many years ago in San Jose?

I think you're talking about the explosion that happened in San Bruno between San Jose and SF. It was a PG&E gas main that caused it, and records showed they did not maintain those lines as Cali regulations required. Fucked up situation.
