bananahamuck Posted April 13, 2012 Report Share Posted April 13, 2012 The goon squad sticker has been attached to this for a few months but this is the first time it drove since buying it in Oct ,,Sooo,, as of today....there is one more 1979 510 goon in the mix and a German Shepard as well. I've been slowly but surely setting things right after one of the previous owner's hack jobs. And the blow by ensures that everything stays coated in a film of whatever is coming out of there. Other than a little warpage on one mirror (the view barely distorts -- cars behind me look a little stretched), and the fact that the gasket holes only kind of line up with the holes in the mirror, I'd say they're great. The chrome is really nice. Now that I have them on the car, I would have rather put them around 2" back from where I installed them. It's not that they don't work -- just aesthetics. I say go for it. The stock mirrors are a little "pedestrian" for my taste. Quote Link to comment

There's a hole in the driver floor and you can watch road go by exactly 3.5" away. Hood was rusted out and I had a big intake laying around so I did something silly. Quote Link to comment
