Nice fab work on the steering wheel mount, too many people just buy stuff...

lol

I dont like buying shit I can make in an hour with parts Iv already got lol

Ill be making a rear sump pan for the KA too

D21s are rear sump, but 2 problems...

It hits the centerlink (510 is more of midsump)

And a D21 oilpan will hit the 240sx girdle...

I only asked cause of the pick up tube, unless there is a magical way to make pick up tubes easy..

Why would you make a rear sump pan as opposed to just flipping the crossmember? Are you afraid of hitting something??

Im not a big fan of flipping the crossmember, esp not when I can make a rear sump pan.

no nonsense of the front sway bar issue either.

^Same.

seems like a lot less work.

I dont know if its necessarily less work... but I dont have to flip the crossmember or get a custom sway bar.

and a pick up tube is just a tube with a screen at the end. just going to modify the stock tube to pick up from the rear sump.

Having made a pan, I would say that it is harder than flipping the crossmember. I did it because my car is pretty low and I didn't like the idea of the pan sitting up there waiting to smack the road at any moment. I don't know anything about single cam KA's, but I know with the twin cam you can't use a rear sump pan on the front sump car engine. The bolt pattern and oil pump are both totally different.

Skib, if you need any hints on your pickup(I'm guessing you're doing a DE from a 240sx), PM me. I've got the droids you're looking for..
