Draker
Nice!! Amazing what a tune up will do eh? Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Yeah she is really running top shelf right now, no smokey exhaust, not spuddering anymore, extremely responsive, and I can barely here the car when she is idling now. I think it's the best the car has run, stopped, and handles sense I bought her almost exactly 1 year ago. It's taken me some time but this car is really starting to drive really nice, I've put a shot ton of time and work into this little wagon. It wasn't my first choice for a 510 as I prefer 2 doors, but dam it's cool to see how far this little blue wagoon has come in a year Quote Link to comment
Draker
I'm with you.. I didn't want a wagon but hard to pass on a good deal. Then after a while the wagon grows on you. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Points, after being annoyed with them forever, I switched to EI. What I was getting at earlier about the gap. Point gap number really only applies when the points are new. After that its all about dwell angle, but the cost for a tool to measure that was halfway to just getting EI for me. Rustina 510
Yeah I'm keeping the points and focusing on the Ka from now until it's in the car before canby Quote Link to comment

jrock4224
I've put a shot ton of time and work into this little wagon. best words ever ........its come a long way ....loving it Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Well mike and I fixes the heater motor. From the fuse their is a fail in the harness that powers to switch. So we ran a direct line from the battery to the heater switch and I placed a 20 amp fuse in the line. This power line also included the stereo memory power as well. She works perfectly now Quote Link to comment

Dirttrack510
It took me a couple hours to get caught up, but awesome build. The car has really improved from the beginning of the thread. Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Thx dt510, a ton of hours and a good amount of parts and she is really coming back to life. The defrost works so nice, and keeps the window very clear now. All I need is my temp gage to work and absolutely everything on the car will be in full working order. Yay!!! Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Well... Motor kind of blew, blowing smoke and drinking a quart of oil a day. Izzo and his buddy James hooked me up with a mystery motor L20, turns out it add a crazy cam in it and a port and polished head, not bad for 100$. Pulled the old motor out Cleaned up the new motor Dropped the new motor in Put it all back together Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
So the new motor runs like a beast, I've never felt a Lmotor pull like this does and the power is a huge upgrade to the car, the header and 2" exhaust compliment the performance of the motor perfectly.
