well they said to use this pink gel at home depot, but is it really necessary? or just percation?

Its lasted 40 years you will be fine with the rustoleum paint.but harbor freight and thinned out rustoleum paint will do wonders.

I got the frame finished up and prety running all the lines so I get an idea where they are going. Just waiting on the heim joints for the tie rods and center link to put the cab back on.

I'm a little confused as to how the AN fittings go on the gas tank?

I know it will be a bulk head fitting but people are using a cooper tube for the pick up line? I've heard I can get it at home depot but I still have no idea what they are talking about :/

still not sure where im going to run the lines and E brake is going to be pulled out.

You don't want to run the brake lines down and over the trans tunnel hump to run it cleaner.but this truck is going to bad ass.keep up the good work.and you had time to upload these.I thought I was your friend man.

Well what I ment was the brake lines go down off the MC and over the trans hump.like how I did mine but cleaner then I did mine.sisce you have the cab off.does that make sense I did not even want my fuel pressure regulator there but I thought for all the money I spent why not show it and I made it as clean as I could.by the way I'm going off the picture that you have with the hoses going across the firewall from what I see.

So I dropped the gas tank last night and completly forgot I had fillred up the tank right befor the motor took a crap on me X)

Going to cute the tank tonight before any grinding and what not is done then putting the feed and return line on.

Fuel system finished up and got the tie rods and center link all in heim joints. Cab is almost ready to be put on :)

one of my good buddyes came over today and help out with the welding that needed to be finished. He decided to drop the motor as far down as he could so we cut he motor mounts, decided later that we are going to scrap those and he was going to fab up some mounts of his own for me :) got the top mounts for the coilovers welded on and just need to cut the rest of the crap that isnt needed and wait for the shock to put on the bottom mount. The sleev for the exhaust is in place too just need to gring off the extra metal and paint the bare metal. prety much the cab is ready to go back on this week... well as soon as i get those last few things finished. what is a good way to keep the gas tank from rusting up after you clean it?

A good quality tank sealer, don't get cheap, you only have to do it once.

Cab is back on the frame. Going to work on getting all the lines conected, bleed all the fluids, and try to remember how these body mounts go x)

Got the new steering column off of a 620 and it was a match with the 521. Towed the truck out of my place, it's currently at my friends house that has more then enough room (2acers of yard). All that's left is suspension, exhaust and drive shaft to get it driving again

Did you order your coil overs yet.and are you painting in the engine bay or you just getting it running.It's nice to drive it around I love driving my truck but got so much more to do.keep up the good work on that thing.next year it better be at JCCS winning first place.

Getting it running first then once I have everything done up and welded painted cab. Gonna try and repair it in sections. Coils have not been ordered yet had to wait and see if. Have enough for my next check

I already ordered the brackets a while back :) just need the shocks

if you ordered the shocks there's one problem they don't just fit,now i have to shave down the rubbers and collars to fit in the mounts.If i new this i would have done something else I'm a little disappointed.

Wait that? You have to modify the mounts or the shock itself?

The shocks.the qa1's are over 1" and he makes the bracket to fit 1" so when you get them you have to now shave down the rubbers and the collar to make it work,it's not hard I just don't know why he does not make them a little bigger and then you can shim it yourself.
