Uh, yeah. Right. Every surface that's not plastic. "Always garaged"? Right after being driven on salted slushy roads? "Cranks very good - No key" The only thing holding that piece of goat shit together is the wood grain stickers. The valve cover is even rusting through... Don't miss the little house fan jammed down in the engine bay... WTF. Damn. Quote Link to comment
djlotus
I guess it would be good by CT standards. *shrugs* Quote Link to comment
hang_510
The only thing holding that piece of goat shit together is the wood grain stickers. "IN SIDE OF CARB IS SPOTLESS id hope so, look how dirty the rest of it is ENGINE CRANKS VERY GOOD" must be able to see it through the rust holes in the oil pan Quote Link to comment
Xander_42
"Engine cranks very good..." while being hot wired, we promise it's not stolen, Scout's honor. Quote Link to comment

fisch
HA I saw this yesterday and got excited because it is the first f10 I have ever seen in New England! Funny frickin ad though!!! Figures the only own to show up in this area looks like this one! Too damn bad the f10 was FWD! Quote Link to comment
datsunz
New Englanders exaggerate everything by 20%. Now you know. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Actually, for an F10, especially in New England, that's in pretty good shape. It's not ideal, but they aren't asking $5000 for it either. $500 is a bit much for a starting bid on a $200 (scrap value) car though. And the "House Fan"? My buddy's 310 (the immediate successor of the F10, and it had REAL body cancer- you could see through both sides and the struts were held on by gravity) had one just like that, it was factory. The transverse-mounted engine had way too much underhood heat by the firewall. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Having lived in salty Ontario that's not bad. My B-210 lasted about 4-5 years before the fenders were holed. If it rained more it would wash it off. But cars drive for months with salty slush frozen in the wheel wells. Quote Link to comment
krash
Is that salt or feces on the strut towers? At least the interior looks.....nah that car is done. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
News flash-that car was done when it rolled off the assembly line. Quote Link to comment
Dave7
Even the valve cover is rusty! Still probably not bad for an Eastern car. Still worth saving. Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
Whats with the fan  Never seen that before   Quote Link to comment
420n620
the fan is a stock fan, I've seen them on FWD Datsuns before, prob to keep the carb from vapor locking. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I think that fan behind the engine is factory equipment. Quote Link to comment
fisch
Hmmmm wonder how hard it would be to stick the entire FWD drive train from my Suzuki Swift GTi in here? :D  :D I love my Suzuki, but don't care for the late 80's looks. Too bad I don't have time for another major project! Quote Link to comment
Blitz
The um...headlights look....no, I got nuthin... Quote Link to comment

Stupid_fast
I'de pay $50 for one ! Just needs a spoiler, cut springs, a loud muffler, and call it good! Classic ricer right there. Quote Link to comment
fisch
This thread needed pics! Why is it that when I first see it I get indigestion, then as I keep looking... I start to find it endearing, in a three legged dog sort of way? I imagine it lowered, better, or no bumpers, better wheels... What is with those hubcaps too! They are as crazy as the '78 200sx caps! The Japanese were smoking a lot of something back then! Quote Link to comment
fisch
I'de pay $50 for one ! Just needs a spoiler, cut springs, a loud muffler, and call it good! Classic ricer right there. Not the same, but close! Cut springs, muffler, and custom spoiler! How do we get these bumpers though! (Don't know why I can't embed from youtube!) Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
I missed the "Always Garaged" part. Yeah, and my '79 Longbed was "always garaged" too. That's why it has 6" diameter rust circles all over it... "All glass good". That include the obviously cracked pieces of 1/2" thick sheet glass in the back? Quote Link to comment
Rhapakatui
Dude, I drove 12 hours one way for a truck that didn't run. My first Datsun would run without the key as long as you had the headlights on... think I crossed a wire somewhere... I'd hit it. Quote Link to comment
AZhitman
I didn't know about the fan thing - Thanks for the edumacation. BTW, I'm sitting here  'ing from all the posts. "3-legged dog..." HAHAHAHAHA  THAT was awesome. Quote Link to comment
HRH
Yuck, yuck, and double yuck. It's worth it's weight in scrap, I'd say. Quote Link to comment
