Got a little work done today.

My main goal is finish the floor top and bottom. One area I've been meaning to address is the tranny tunnel. The lokar brake handle is meant to flush mount. Problem is the drive line is too close to the floor.

Today I started addressing the issue...

Cut up. I'll taper the back down to meet the stock tranny tunnel.

Stopped by Jeff's house yesterday and picked up a set of fenders and got to drive bluey :-) the fenders will be the final ones that go on my car. I plan on setting up and driving the car before I put the flares on these. My old ones will be for mock up and testing only.

Needed to make a mounting plate for the ebrake boot. This will allow for sound mat and carpet to be flush with the trim ring.

This will be welded to the tranny tunnel and seam sealed.

I also need to plug weld all the holes in the floor. I cut a bunch of 0.030" thick plugs from 0.375", 0.500" and 0.750" bar.

And remade the oil relocator with -10 AN Fittings.

Thanks guys. Progress has been slow because I've been very unmotivated. Burnt out from working too many hours at my job. I'm cutting back on overtime so hopefully once I get through dealing with the floors I can get motivated and start reassembling everything for final mockup....

Looks like a Mau-12 connector... Aviation style, I never considered doing that before, pretty cool idea.

Picked up my tank from goichi1 (Rich) today. He put in a 300zx fuel pump and plugged all the extra lines up. All primed, just gotta shoot it at work.

Thanks Ernie!

One more piece I had to make. The ebrake cable moves in and out when the suspension cycles. Since it was going through the stock hole in the control arm it was gonna chafe.....

See this pic:

So I drew up a simple sleeve that is held in by a E-Clip:

Turned it on the Lathe:

Then opened the through hole in the arm to 0.625" and clipped her in!

Hey Kyle,

Sorry, been busy with work.... Haven't even been able to work on the car! I'll send you my set so you can keep moving forward and I'll just whip some more up later.

My S4 decided the #3 Exhaust Lifter would destroy itself, destroy the cam and mushroom the valve stem..... I have to move again in August so the S4 is sitting and once I get moved the front clip comes off, the motor comes out, head come off, valve gets cut off..... Then new valve, new lifter, new cam and reassemble.....

I originally thought it was the Timing Chain Tensioner and had all the parts to do the repair. Once I tore it open it appeared the tensioner was fine. After looking around for a few seconds I noticed this:

The top of the lifter should be flat and polished. The rear most #3 Exhaust Valve Lifter in mine has a hole in it and is destroyed. This killed the cam and the thimble looking part is what used to press the valve down. Instead it was beating up the end of the valve and mushroomed it..... Car still runs enough to get it on the trailer and into the new garage...
