I love turbo, I also love NA. theres just something about the violent throttle response available with NA that makes me more excited. that said, Im building a big ol turbo 300 whp 910 as well. theres a company called Rywire that does harnesses with the Mil Spec connectors like that, looks totally awesome. I'll design it to fit my specific setup. No MAF. Running MAP (Speed Density Based). Looking to get between 275-300whp with equal torque numbers. I ordered the Manifold kit and will make a bottom mount with the turbo mounted towards the front of the engine and angled so I can run a brake booster and not cook the master.... Next is intercooler and ECU setup. It's gonna be all customs shit and done right. Can't make the intercooler till the turbo is mocked up. Then the intercooler is waiting on the decision to either run the stock intake manifold (that I have 30hrs into) or buy a new cast manifold that has a better angled throttle body which will help with intercooler design and piping. Stay tuned. Gotta move the car this month and once finished focus on the S4. For now it's planning and accumulating parts. I still might do that but will have to bolt up the booster and test fit. I wont have time to work on it for a month but wanted to see how it fit.... intercooler comes Monday and I'll probably order all the nismotronics stuff then also :-) Quote Link to comment

Josh K. Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 5, 2013 Project is still moving. Just needed to get moved and fix the Audi. That's all done and the S4 is purring ;) ... bought a band saw for cutting the exhaust pieces..... I just ordered the stainless bits today for the exhaust from the turbo to basically under the floor. Once I get to that point I'll order the rest. 3" SS all the way and all v-banded. Picking up the tri-mix gas for my mig today so I can tack stuff together. Once done it will all be tig'ed. Gonna get the turbo set in place and a frame to hold it while I build the manifold to it. Should have progress pics this weekend. -Josh Quote Link to comment
Josh K. Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 Got all my parts. I needed a bandsaw so I decided on modifying a harbo freight wood saw to cut stainless. I need to slow it down from 500sfm to 100sfm. I bought a 1hp 1750rpm motor and a 5:1 gear reduction box. I decided to rent a shop with 2 buddies. 30x48, heated with a bathroom. After vacation and the flu I finally got the car moved this weekend.
