510T
Josh K. you have quite a sleeping giant here! I must say the fenders you have going on are by far my favorite on a 510 next to the as-far-as-I-know unfinished Datsport 4door to 2door VQ car. Are you going to paint the body before driving it or run it around for a while first? Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Just read through this for the past hour + and am in awe. Great work! If you wanna fab up some cv's for my r160... :thumbup:Thanks for the compliment! If and when you need some cv adapters just send me a pm and I'll shoot you a price :-)Josh K. you have quite a sleeping giant here! Are you going to paint the body before driving it or run it around for a while first?:-) I'll be driving it to canby (I hope) with no filler and just primer. Next winter after I'm happy with fit/form/function I'll tear it apart and paint! Got the dust caps painted. All finished and ready to roll!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Dropped into the shop this morning and whipped out a set of 0.125" spacers for the front. Car will be rolling again today. Quote Link to comment

Josh K.
For sure! Hopefully I get all day Sunday to work! First on the list is get the motor out. New clutch and rear main. Replace the front timing cover since the thermostat seal on mine is corroded away and I don't want a leak. Ordered a full engine gasket set. Also ordered the AN Fittings and braided hose to hook up the remote oil filter. I'm going to finish the underside of the car. Finish the brake lines and then put the motor back in for final, wiring and assembly. I need to focus on getting the car running and work on the sheet metal when I can't make progress anywhere else. Stay tuned. -Josh Quote Link to comment

El Compa_510
oh ok thanks I'm gonna be running wilwood brakes meaning 16' rims correct? Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
I would check with Troy or whomever your getting the brakes from. I have 15x8s. Josh- Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Been spending money...... some stuff will come together soon! Got my $80 work bench setup.... I'm making a new remote oil filter adapter. The one I made doesn't have enough distance between the threaded holes for the -10 AN fittings. I wasn't happy with it anyways... Josh K.
Got some gaskets in the mail....... Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Phil's radiator looked sweet so I ordered one for myself. A little on the small side but should be fine. The inlet is causing me grief for intake pipe routing. It looks like I'm going to cutoff and block the inlet pipe and relocate to the side. Mock up is done for now. Tomorrow the motor/tyranny comes out for cleaning and final assembly. Quote Link to comment
El Compa_510
looking good bro!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Rad looks great! Although the MAF is really close to the throttle body which may mess with how it runs. 10" is minimum distance from throttle body to the MAF. Also that looks like an S13 MAF, isn't your engine S14? Josh K.
It very well could be my old sr20det or ka24e Maf.... how can you tell? My buddy has his maf in that same location with no issues. I'm gonna route mine to the driver side though. This is how the hose will route: Motor/tranny are back out! Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Its a 53F00 MAF which is correct :) Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Made a redneck flywheel lock... Got the car stripped back down and high enough to finish the under chassis. I couldn't work anymore as I ran out of space..... had to stop and start organizing... I got my racks up and things about 70% put away. At least now I can move around. All tucked in for the night. Josh K.
I got a visit from Jeff and Frank today :-) Jeff took away the blue 510, two sets of rear calipers adapters and a shit load of my spare parts.... Frank said I have plenty of time to get my car ready for Canby. He changed his mind once he seen it in person.... Quote Link to comment
