a friend told me about PLASTIDIP, so I decided to try it on the hood of my car just to see how that works, it's allright i like how the black looks on it. i might pait the hood with some reaL paint later, but for right now that's how it will stay.

Took some brass shim stock and made something to take up some of the slop in the shifter.

After fitting them I just bent the ends to keep them from slipping out. Also made a small piece to tighten up the side to side motion where the pin go's into the shift rod. Still a little slack going forward to back but it is inside where the lever contacts the other rods to shift, I guess this is normal being as old as it is. It made a BIG difference in the feel.

This one is all together an original, just have to do some bleeding of the brakes and clutch, as well get it fired up.

I have a L16 ready the go in this one as well as bleeding the brakes and clutch, and then fire it up.

This one just needs a charge, it runs like a scalded dog. ( I know it's not a 510 but what the heck )

I had found a set of pedals to make my automatic a stick. The clutch pedal on the left did not have the adjuster part on it.

I thought I would have to weld a L shaped piece on with a hole to add bolt to make it adjustable. Then later when I looked at it I noticed a bolt welded onto the framework that all I had to do was add a bolt and nut to. Worked fine.

So now I just have to swap them into my sedan that had the auto and get the engine put in.

So I thought I would bring the other one and see if they could do it. ( old bushing still in) They assured me they could do it. Boy what a mistake. They gave this one to a dumbass who did not know how to use a press.

The arm is still good just a little bent, everything is still in alignment and will work. I just will never bring another to be done unless I have all ready cut out the bushing like I had done the first one.

get those cars going!!!!!!!!!!!!! those are cool!!!!!!!!!!!! should be running by now those are EZ to keep and get running!

best 510 colors also.

I agree, my big problem is I work in New Orleans during the week and am at the building a couple days a week with no help around. But I will get them up and going here soon. Got a get the complete one charged and running then bleed everything (brakes and clutch), then I can pull it out and clean it up and keep it going. Then I can get out the one in the back and get the motor and Manuel trans in it, bleed the same things like the other. Then run it and enjoy them.
