Tank.
Awesome! I love my vq swap, it’s soooo much fun to drive. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Very cool. Those VQs look hilarious in those engine bays. Like there's 3 feet of empty space to the rad. Looks like an it makes it a legit mid engine though. Gotta be a great base for hooning. Quote Link to comment
Aaron Datsun
This looks very fun! Going to be happy to follow along. Quote Link to comment

Icehouse
To save some time on fit up, you should just give me the ZG nose 🙂 Quote Link to comment

The bumper is actually that same sort of foam over metal material like the GTO judge or firebird noses are made from. 3 Quote Link to comment
Skib
fixin some door shit door and g-nose headlight buckets all repaired. the entire underside of the hood was paint cracked affecting it all the way down to bare metal. so it needed to be stripped and cleaned to bare metal. chemically stripping coming alone pretty decent ... 5 Quote Link to comment

Soundline
First, the car looks super rad. Your body work is really great. I have a question though, what did you do to address the rust inside the door? Did you coat it with a rust covering product before paint? Quote Link to comment

So I cleaned it with a wire wheel and by hand, try to get as much to bare metal as I can. Then treated it with a rust neutralizer, coated in a metal etch primer and then a sealer. The back sides of all the patch panels where coated in a metal etch primer before welding then I coat them in a sealer after as well. Actually, If you look at the first post you can see the same thing with the patch of the fender. That green behind the cut out rust is where it was rusted behind; treated and sealed with a metal etch. 2 Quote Link to comment

I live in the Fog belt on the coast, friends in Lincoln / Rocklin say I should move there but I've been there in the summer house sitting for them and had to douse myself with the hose just to make it across the yard. Its 72 here this afternoon. Edited August 15, 2022 by Ooph! Quote Link to comment
