thisismatt
Nice score - it actually looks very straight for the most part Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Thanks. It looks like it may just run with a new set of points, but I will have to order a set along with some other consumables. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Is this your first 521? Probably want to flush out the fuel tank and good chance the filler neck needs replacing. Mine was deteriorating and dropping small chunks into the tank 1 Quote Link to comment

Mine was deteriorating and dropping small chunks into the tank It is my first and appreciate all the advice about all of the things. Thanks. Does the tank have a drain like the 620? How do I get the door open in the bed? I am sure there will be more questions. 😄 43 minutes ago, Icehouse said: I wish I had a truck that good looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thisismatt
Tank has a drain plug, yeah. I've never opened mine, though...just ran one of those clear glass filters in front of a paper filter until crap stopped filling it up. The door in the bed just pops out...it has springy metal clips. I think this is the filler hose you want if you can find one...they didn't used to be this expensive: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001CI6418/?coliid=I31PZ3TN5IP5LG&colid=3COFTFNK1DAE8&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Currently I have a straight hose in mine...it kinks but not enough to restrict flow, so I never bothered to change it out. 2 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Gotta say I'm a bit jelly on this one!!! Too bad about the driver's door not matching......it's from a really late '70 but most likely, a '71-72. Everything else....valve cover, mud flaps......all match the truck. Awesome score!!!! Congrats!!! Plans for it? 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I was a little sad about the door, but it is super straight so it'll do. 🙂 Plans are to get it running driving and stopping, clean it up and find someone that will take care of it. 1 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
I may know where you can steal a set of points from if they crossover But then I would possibly have to replace them one day Edited March 26, 2022 by hobospyder Quote Link to comment
