jefe de jefes
So which are more desireable? Round or flat top? Quote Link to comment
bonvo
at that price you make it hard not to outbid you man but i wont i wish i could though that will probibly be the only set of su's i could ever afford Quote Link to comment
exit64
You're lucky I sold the 620. Those are exactly what I was looking for to replace that damn Hitachi that I couldn't get to idle. Good thing I already have more SU's than I need for all the R series stuff that I am building. Plus a nice collection of Mikuni 40 mm junk for the stroker that is waiting for its turn to get dropped into the '70 1600. I will be hoarding intakes and carbs for the 1200 starting in a couple of weeks so stand back! Quote Link to comment
Phlebmaster
Too bad there is no BUY NOW price. lol Quote Link to comment
az_rat210
WAIT to post anymore bids....You want to be there at the end to submit a max bid, about 30 seconds before it expires. Quote Link to comment
Jester
Good idea I'll wait and see how high it goes first. Maybe it will stay within bugget. Ya right. LOL What would be a good price to max out at? BTW: Thanks guys. Quote Link to comment
LenRobertson
You might want to email the seller and ask if there is any wear in the carb bodies where the throttle shafts go through. If there is much play and you need to have the problem fixed, then you don't want to bid as much. If he says the throttle shafts don't have side play in the body, you can bid more. Z-Therapy http://www.ztherapy.com/ charges quite a bit to rework the shafts/body , although there may be a less expensive alternative. Anyone know? Len Quote Link to comment
oldsklminitrk
Ill behave too I was peeping this on my watch list and Im still a newbie here so I dont wanna piss anyone off .....but I do have my eye on these. Quote Link to comment
Jester
I'll just tell you all straight up, I will NOT bid past 125. If it reaches this, which I'm sure they will, have at it. It's just that I know there are others like me (on this site) who hoard parts that are desireable. I have a shit load of Jeep and GoldWing parts. BUT, I really want these to run on my KC. RacnJsn95
Last set I bought for an L4 I paid $120 for. I wouldn't pay more than about $125 for any unrebuilt SU carbs. I think I'm going to start a discussion about SU carbs now so I dont steal your thread. Quote Link to comment
SHADY280
i got a set of round tops that need rebuild that could be purchased from me if anyone needs them, no manifold tho, unless you want the one that goes on a l24 with them. although i could get the proper maniflod if you need as well. qwik510
Most complete sets are going for $150 and up now. Totally worth it. I would buy them as an extra set if I didn't already have an extra set in storage. Edited November 14, 2008 by qwik510 Quote Link to comment
