Z-train
What are you guys using for mirrors on your 620's.The elephant ears are beginning to wear on me. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
BMW Flags look good. Not sure if I've seen them on a 620.. but probably have. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Stock 620 mirrors are shaped just like the headlamp trim. 1 Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Can't remember the last time I saw one.Do they make a passenger side? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
In most cases the passenger side was an option on most early Datsuns, and that makes them super rare. Try finding a 510 passenger side... I think Ted Tdaaj ? had one. 1 Quote Link to comment
qwik510
I had a pair of NOS Vitaloni Baby Tornado mirrors in my storage that I had been hoarding for decades. I recently decided they woul be great on the 620 KC barn find. I installed the passenger side mirror. It looks great. Went to install the drivers side and found that I had the mirror but not all the mounting hardware. I need to track it down. I like the looks of this mirror. I'll post a pic once it stops raining. 1 Quote Link to comment

Pacific coast Datsun
Like qwik510's baby turbo's mine are also very old & the rubber boots are holding up good in the BHC AZ dry heat. The glass is slightly tinted stock..makes it nice at night or the sun is low & behind you. I can get a better pic if needed. 2 Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Did all 720 mirrors(passenger side)have the (assholes are closer than they appear to be)? 1 Quote Link to comment
gene knight
720/hardbody mirrors on my 620 kc'so and baby v'so on my 521 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Took me forever to find a remote control for the right side but did eventually find one in a station wagon of all places. I have always likes this style. The remote for the right side was mounted in the dash where the cigarette lighter used to go. Bill, you'll know what these are. 1 Quote Link to comment
orangie
Vitaloni California, haven't mounted them yet though. 1 Quote Link to comment

Z-train
Qwik-have you "fitted" them to a 620?One of the issues with the 720 mirrors is the doors on the 620 are almost vertical(as opposed to a 720)and I would need to make a wedge shaped spacer/base so the top of the mirror will be horizontal to the truck.Appreciate all the pics keep'em coming. Mike-GM a-body? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I don't know the GMs well. One side was from a '79 (ish) Cutlass, the pass side was an early/mid '80s Pontiac station wagon. I have always liked the design. Hell you can't even by r view mirrors today easily. Have to go to junk yards. 1 Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Yeah,No kiddin'.I found a GM windshield rearview mirror and I'm going to put that on the 620 and get rid of the E-rape crap I bought.Cutlass is a later A-body and the same mirrors would be used on a whole bunch of cars including the Firechicken. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
This website has some cool mirrors. http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-pickup-parts.html 1 Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
Holy crap those are expensive mirrors. I have a couple new-in-box Datsun mirrors (from Nissan) That came with my parts truck. One black, one grey, both driver's side. Who knew they were worth $120 each??? 1 Quote Link to comment

Have a Monte Carlo rear view mirror. Love it! Day/night and two map reading lights that can be wired to the door switches. Don't care for the dome light. Best of all it glues to the glass. 3 Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
I have to make a mirror decision. My doors are not drilled for mirrors and I really hate drilling holes that aren't supposed to be there. My 74 620 came with 2 black cheap plastic mirrors in its basket of parts. I don't know if they are OE or aftermarket or ? Here is a pic of one: Would like to know if anyone recognizes them as being Datsun/Nissan and if not, should I use them and drill the holes? (Then of course, where to mount them.) screen shots 1 Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
Turns out there is not enough angle in the mounting bracket so they are definitely not OE. Have to decide to angle the bracket bottoms down to about a knife edge OR make a black plastic wedge OR not an option. What is worse, I'm getting it state safety inspected and I think I need one side mirror. Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
If optional I won't need to put them on for state safety inspection. Of course, the inspection station will have no idea whether they were or not. Perhaps since my doors have no holes in them, a strong argument could be made that there are no missing mirrors. And since my doors are not new - I had to weld up all 4 corners, it's a pretty good argument. Of course the truck cam from Ohio where they still do not have mandatory safety inspections  I'm guessing the OE mirrors were rectangular chrome ones? as shown in the parts manual? (I guess that doesn't sound too good - if in the parts manual, then that implies there was a mirror as standard equipment.) ... and then there is the horrific thought of drilling holes in virginal doors to put mirrors on. I wonder if there are glue on mirrors? haha Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
I have something like this clamped to my door kinda low. They fit just under the body line and JUST clear the fender when the door is opened. risky to leave on for sheet metal and paint and they aren't the best visibility but they are mirrors... 1 Quote Link to comment
