I dont mind an automatic but I do tend to haul alot of heavy ladys crap around. The 82 looks cleaner but is auto the 84 looks like a farm truck but manual. I like the look of the 84 with the rims, foglights and grill. The 82 looks clean as hell but I hate those rims . ahhhh both have 160,000 Link to comment

HRH Posted March 6, 2016 Report Share Posted March 6, 2016 Those years did have a second gear that liked to jam in place. Datzenmike knows more about than I do. Supposedly not that hard a fix. The autos are probably pretty reliable, but that's still 160,000 on an auto. Wheels can be changed pretty easily. So I just finally bit the bullet and ordered a Megasquirt for the red truck. Trying my hand at it with the red truck first, then I'll dink around with the 280z turbo motor if that goes well. Link to comment
