Population of California matches that of our whole country, of course your GDP is proportionaly higher, but really tho murricans have been brainwashed to believe USA #1, so this will be like talking to musslims about how good bacon is.

Sounds like we should all come up there

Time for me to go consume some lunch now

If by important you mean the over consuming plague that takes everything yet contributes nothing, then yes you are important.

Penis envy runs deep with this one.

The USA is also the largest contributor to impoverish countries through private dollars and taxed dollars. The USA also takes in an exorbitant amount of refugees from all over the world. More than the Canada you so highly speak of.

Why is nationalism so bad for Americans believe in when you are obviously practicing the same bias for your nation. Double standard?

Liberalism, it's what fucked US up.

Partisanism.  If it isn't already an ism, I just made it one.  Party lines are what perpetuate the tug of war.  The Bloods and the Crips always carrying a chip on their shoulder from the "last time".  Party pressure on those whom we entrust to represent us.  All so they feel the comfort of knowing they have friends who might take their side later on, or might help get them re-elected when faced with a challenge.  The whole thing is a fucking survivor reality show that determines our fate.  If we were smart, we would oust, one by one, every politician who affiliates with a party (alliance).  Eventually taking the wind out of their sails.  I am sick about how obsessed we are with the two party system, and how so many see it as the great strength of our country.  I know the argument well, and it carried weight a century ago.  It was also more effective in the past when people in office acted like adults.

I can agree with you.

But the definitions of words and meanings of things have become so convoluted now days. The ability to "Act like adults" is manipulated on either side or just about anything is interpreted any way that suits an agenda. We have no consensus even at the basic definition of vocabulary.

like Mr. Carlin once said "Just think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider than that."

Population of California matches that of our whole country,

This is my favorite part of Canadians pointing out our nations faults.

Of course it's easier to make things work for your entire country on such a smaller scale.

Yet there is still a matching holiday for every one of ours, even if they had to make it up.  Gotta have that monthly three day weekend to hit the outlets malls in the States, lol.

In the end, as was implied further in the quoted post, this argument is futile as truthfully neither side will admit having been proven wrong if/when it is done.
