That's a weak looking rack. No side supports. And no rear bar. But for you it's perfect. Just for looks.

That's my roof rack. It is not weak. Certainly not a safari rack but it is heavy and feels solid and there is a rear bar, just no front bar. (You must be looking at it backwards Datrod)And it is shiny new. It will look sweet on a freshly painted wagon.

I bought it before I ever had a wagon and would be using it except I don't think I want a rack on my three door dime.

Thanks JRock.

All I'm saying is most of the racks I've seen have 6 places where they mount to the roof. And a cross bar front and rear.

I'm not saying it's a bad rack, Just saying it LOOKS weak. I'm not standing in front of it so how would I know.

And it really makes no difference how I'm looking at it.

Bottom line is it's perfect for Tanker. And I think he should buy it from you.

Thanks for pointing that out Qwik.

I like the look of David's roof rack.  It's sporty and useful.  I suppose if you were going to actually use it all the time, you would want one that had more mounting points like John is suggesting, but I'd rock that one if I had a goon. I had chrome luggage rack I took off the back of an Alfa that was a smaller version of David's roof rack.  It was junk so I was just tossing it in the metal pile, but I tested it to see how strong it was, and I couldn't get it to bend or break at the joints.... So to me, it comes down to; how much are you going to use it?

Qwik it has Datsun on the box,so was a Datsun product or aftermarket company.

As I said in the auction, I could not find a part number on the box. The box says Datsun so it was either made by Datsun or made by a company that made stuff for Datsun.

The tubular rails are very sturdy. Once affixed to the car, You could strap stuff to them or set a board across them and I would be confident that they could support a good bit of weight. the sheet metal of the roof would give in before the rack did.

Yeah, I don't think Datsun ever made them, But who ever made them more than likely put Datsun on the box. And I'm sure they were sold at Datsun dealership's back in the day.

And you are right. The car will give in before that rack. Qwik's rack looks better than most. At least it not made out of Aluminum like most of them that I've seen.

Hey Tanker Quik has a nice rack buy it all ready

I have an Amco dealer-installed rack for my goon.  After doing *so* much work to the roof of my goon to get it straight, I'm hesitant to drill holes in the roof to install it.  They do look nice, but I hate drilling holes..

If it was me. I don't think I would drill holes in your wagon. The rack is cool I love it on my wagon. But if it didn't all ready have it I would not do it.
