Charlie69
Bory try your wash mix on scrap wood to get the consistency the way you want it. When you have the wash thinned the way you like then try on scrap wood putting different amount of coats on to get the desired look and depth of color. You are closing in on the end of this build and all the way through the build you have done stellar design and workmanship. Beautiful truck!!! 3 Quote Link to comment
Bory
Thanks C6! I'm gonna have my furniture maker do the recess on the cap and finish the wood. He'll do a sweet job on it! 1 Quote Link to comment

Bory
As if I'm not excited enough about the show deck, I got the cab back from glass shop with all my flush mount glass, power one piece! 8 Quote Link to comment

mklotz70
Wow! I like that way more than I thought I would! :) Since you shaved the wipers......why didn't you shave the antenna? What are you doing for a rear view mirror? 2 Quote Link to comment
Bory
Well I'm pretty happy with the glass! If your asking about door mirrors, I'm using the rod ones that hang off the frame, also thought it would be cool to keep the antenna in the stock location. Like i was running here 2 Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
I would get rid of the rod mirrors and go with BMW flag mirrors. You don't have the vent window and it would look so appropriate on the door. Just my 2 cents. 2 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Could you legally get away with ____________? It's California. So the answer is always no. 3 Quote Link to comment
Fast720
Wow !!!! that glass is the cats meow !!!! Very sweet , was that expensive ? is it the same replacement glass just glued in ? Your truck is very close to being finished ...............your so fortunate to be at this stage , great job !!! 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
As I recall, several pages back, he modified the body to make the opening smaller. So it would then make it a glue-in flush-mount glass. 2 Quote Link to comment
Bory
DF- You are correct Winshield was over 300 and install was like 200, but i was quoted over 500 for just the winshield from some shops, The install was a bit more work cuz he had to sand it down to fit the tight areas. I did the same to the factory glass when I welded the receiver smaller. Quote Link to comment
