If someone would have said yes, I would have asked my question of are stock Pistons and cast iron rings strong enought to hold up to the pressure. Some engines I know won't. But from what I've seen I can't find anything on the I internals when using nitrous in a stock l20. Link to comment

Preparing to switch summer tires onto the truck seeing as winter has officially shit the bed around here and head up to pull and save for some cannibal strut tubes for the Maxima. Think I'm going 12" springs with 125 lb in the rear and 150 lb in the front. Calculated I took 14% off the car's original weight, and then went 30% stiffer, which arrives at those figures. 1 Link to comment

datzenmike Posted February 8, 2015 Report Share Posted February 8, 2015 A 300hp V8 with 30% NOx boost will be making almost 400 hp!!! A small 2 liter engine with a 30% power increase is only 120 or so hp, and will feel like it. The natural inclination is to just add more NOx to it. Then more, and a bit ... more.... It's a one way trip to the bone yard. Hopefully the head gasket blows before the pistons are holed. Link to comment
