Ranman72
If the picture was a 4th generation Accord then Matt was saying it was better than any Nissan made from '90-'93. He didn't say any of the other Japanese makes, just Nissan. I don't agree, but not from knowing for sure, just brand loyalty. Shortly after and certainly by the end of the decade Nissan was in a financial tailspin. The cancellation of the Z car in '96 sent up warnings. Nissan hasn't made or done anything since that was worth a damn. The GTR and the 'new' 350Z are to Nissan what the Corvette is to GM.... a technological super-car, something no one here will ever afford to own or drive. Now if Matt had said something against a Datsun, well we would have to step outside. The '90-'93 Nissans?.... meh, not so much. , something no one here will ever afford to own or drive. what these are my toys and there is a 350 in there , , 1 Quote Link to comment

paradime
You'd need to build a rear subframe, but that would be a sick auto-X setup. White Zombie is the first electric Datsun though. 1 Quote Link to comment

I'm not so sure about it being the first. But it was likely the first worth mentioning. I want to put that Tesla power train in so many cars... Namely a DMC. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I had an electric powered 521 back in the mid '80s. What happened was I sheared off all the flywheel bolts. Engine was useless so I shut it off. I found that with the clutch out in gear I could drive the truck on the starter. Drove it about three blocks to get it off the highway so I could come back and get it and not find it towed. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
The two didn't work at the same time. Gas then converted to electric. 1 Quote Link to comment
