For a sandrail it's a totally different kind of traction. The car is propelled by the paddles tossing huge amounts of sand, not by absolute contact traction like in a street car. Unless it's in the air, a rail never looses traction, so once there's enough power to flip the car, tire width is irrelevant. You don't need to shift a car like that. You put it in 3rd, hit the gas, and throw sand.

Hit the gas too hard and it could throw enough sand to dig to China, and end up sitting on the frame!

Ansen%20setup.jpg

I need some help with a rare Ansen cross flow head, I am hoping someone has a exhaust picture of one? The mag. is really close to the exhaust and I don't know if it will live that close? The motor is a mercruiser and is in a George Benson midget chassis #15 first owned bye Jack London then Danny O'Neil!P1080309.jpgP1080307.jpgP1080302.jpgP1080301.jpg20150324_191523.jpg20150324_191532.jpg20150324_191634.jpg
