Doesn't matter much as only one person traveled to both. I think hobo/gatolands happened in April? hobo? My thought...If I held one on Saturday, it easier for people to drive back Saturday night, Sunday morning. If I hold one Sunday, not as easy to drive here then turn tail and drive back in one day. You guys all stay on one side of the mountain. You're close to each other than I am to either of you... Al, hell...That fucker drove 10 hours to Hobo's. 4 hours to me the next morbing-through the snow, then back home at about 12 hours. Say what you want about Al but he is a fucking trooper! EDIT to game planning: To drive to Seattle Saturday then here Sunday...Rough trip for me. But I would be more inclined to drive to Seattle Saturday night/Sunday morning and crash Hobo's couch that night. Also...Coming back this way for gatolands on a Sunday gives me no time to shop/clean/prep. March 12/13th. Just found both threads by searching hobo land. We were due to attend Brickvention 2017 here in Melbourne and on the way we were stopped by Highway Patrol (the REAL Highway Patrol) Many of you followers have reached out to us to offer support and specifics of what happenned. Our car is unroadworthy for 3 reasons. Firstly we are not an Emergency vehicle and do not have a permit to display red and blue lights. Secondly the brackets holding said lights whilst okay in the 70's, in today's day and age are unsafe in a rear collision. Thirdly our Nudge bar is pedestrian unsafe. We do not disagree with any of these observations and accept our Defective notice. All the issues will be resolved/removed in the next couple of days and we will go on as normal. Our car, along with others that are similar exists for one major reason. We enjoy the smiles it brings to others. And believe us when we say even casual non car people smile when they see this vehicle. It brings us happiness to know we purchased a car and put it out there for others to truely enjoy. Yesterday we continued on our day to Brickvention 2017 and our car entertained a whole new audience. We did get a huge kick out of listening to some young kids look at the sticker and mistake the Defective Vehicle for "Oh WOW it's a Detective's Vehicle" But basically their enjoyment is our enjoyment. The Highway Patrol did their job, it is just unfortunate that they spoiled what turned out to be an awesone day and what just happened to be my 40th Birthday. Life goes on and our car will appear somewhere soon to put another smile on someone's face. Their happiness = Our happiness. 2 Quote Link to comment
