Customer wants an oil change performed and a quote for a new clutch. I do the work. Do my full inspection. Build a quote for all the vehicle's needs, parts and labor. When finished with the car I remove it from my stall and park it outside next to our building. Customer arrives; pays for today's service. Upon leaving, she presses the button on her remote to start the vehicle as she starts walking toward her vehicle's location. Um... Quote Link to comment

But making an image intended to be displayed and not looking twice before posting spins my head. I'm sure you didn't make this, but this is more of a general observation. How can this be so prevalent. If you mean the word while,,,,,,, the song that , that meme is based off of does not enunciate the "A" so in fact it is after `while ,, not awhile. Everything I'm telling you now I pieced together second hand. The wall I parked next to is our service drive. The Express lanes are directly on the other side of the wall I parked against. With a huge bang, the building shook. Express writer walked to the man-door to see what had happened. Door wouldn't open. Then another bang happened. And another. Lube techs all ran out the front doors to see what was going on. The Celica was pushed against the door and lurching repeatedly. Our lube techs are stupid. 5 of them ran out to push the car away from the building. By the time the writer got out there they were trying to move a locked car that was in gear with the e-brake set. "If you guys WERE able to move that car, what happens when she hits the button again? Everyone dispersed. No one knew who was doing this still. Customer finally saw her car...still clicking the button on her remote. I'm guessing the remote informs her when the car finally starts, which it was not doing. Her car was in a parking space that has about a 3 1/2" tall rubber bumper at the end of the parking space. There is about a 3 foot gap between the rubber bumper and the wall. Her car jumped the bumper, slammed the wall, and pinned the door closed. 2 Quote Link to comment

This has never happened to her since having remote start on her vehicle. Claims it's easy to avoid. She leaves her car in neutral with the e-brake set. My writer...we don't do that. Anyone driving a stick does not do that. Manual vehicles should ALL be parked with the car in gear and brake set. Her...But you can't do that on a vehicle with remote start. Writer...Who installs a remote start on a manual vehicle? Her...I do. I wanted to warm the car up. My writer...Your car is warm. We just had it running in the shop. Her...You should make it a better practice to avoid things like this. My writer...You should have said something. Her...But I always start my car before I get in it because I know I left it in neutral. My writer...But you didn't drive your car last. My tech, who also didn't know about your remote start, drove it last. Her. Well, it's your fault. I'm calling my insurance comapany. My writer...Make sure to ask them who's fault this really is.
