I had some friends that owned a couple of these little tin cans (bus & sedan) in the seventies and early eighties. If you think a 1200 has thin metal in places, the metal would flex and sometimes crack when you would adjust the outside rearview mirror, and this was when they were new and in the showroom. :frantics: !!! Just like your parents used to have but better. Green paint with white interior. 4spd manual trans, with L20 4 cyl. engine. I've owned her for nearly 7 years and I named her Tallulah. She is in great shape and is perfect for someone that wants an original style car. I suppose she could also be made into a race car. She is currently registered and requires no smog due to her age. She runs good and is ready to roll. If you want to see her and drive her, I can meet you in downtown Sebastopol. Cashiers check is the preferred plan for payment. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I hear they hit the hood They can on the L20s as both the valve cover and the block are larger than stock units. You can slot your mounts or run it on an L16/18 and be good to go. The look isn't for me, but I'm not into the 80s/90s trucking scene which is when these were popular. Probably a $300 cover as something like 250 were made. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I don't think much of them. The person who designed them didn't take into account that the L series leans to one side, so any time you see them, they're leaning towards the right side of the car/truck. I wouldn't be able to live with that. I would, however, like to see a revised version that instead tilted correctly and said "CONAN", along with some sweet artwork. Would totally rock one of those.
