I've got dropped spindles on my 78' with torsion bars but a 74' is a King Pin truck.

 

I'm just curious as to what he did is all. 

 

Never heard of them for the torsion bar setup. I would adjust/re-index the ones on my Datsun & Toyota P/U's to lower the front.

I know there is that conversion for the front spindles on the kingpins where you cut them to make the drop.  Maybe that was it?
