FiveSeventyZee
Wow indeed...I doubt its practicality/efficiency but car porn is not about either of those things haha Its one of those things that had to have been built purely as an engineering exercise...and I respect that! ]2eDeYe
It's probably in Japan, they have innovative ways of packing cars into tight places. Quote Link to comment
72240z
Its a VW garage at their factory in Wolfsburg Germany"spanning approximately 16 stories, two silos are used as a kind of temporary vertical parking lot at volkswagen's production facility and autostadt visitor attraction in wolfsburg, germany. designed by renowned international firm HENN architekten, the 48-meter tall silos are composed of glassand galvanized steel, illuminated by night. a conveyor belt system transports finished cars directly from the adjacent manufacturing plant to the towers' basement. from there, they are lifted into position via mechanical arms that rotate and run along a central beam, moving vehicles in and out of their bays at a speed of two meters per second. the facility is used to temporarily store new cars that are to be picked up in person at the autostadt customer center. indeed, an underground tunnel connects the two buildings, and the car rolls along an internal track to arrive first to be fitted with license plates and then to the waiting owner. each silo fits 400 cars at a time, tending to deliver about 600 vehicles to customers each day." Japanese definitely have their cool parking stuff to though lol. You park your car on a giant lazy susan and away it goes. You come back and within a minute its back in front of you with a bunch of bows from the attendant refusing to take tips... 3 Quote Link to comment

KlassicMotion
KA porn You know, normally I'd laugh when I see parts like wiper motor and brake booster painted, but in this case I like it. Your attention stays on the engine, not the accessories. Quote Link to comment

You drive up, hand over your keys and your car rotates into the vertical elevator [don't ask where it goes from there] and slides into an elevator. 4 or more hours later, if you are still sober, you hand your receipt to the attendant, magic occurs, and your car rolls out onto the rotator. After you get inside, the turntable aims your presumably sober driver on to the public street, It works, why don't we look into this obviously succesful scheme? It sure as hell beats driving around 6 blocks looking for a workable, or bagged inoperable, parking meter. Quote Link to comment
