datsunfreak
Hu, that sound like a sacred cow you've goth there. It may sound that way, but it's really not. I actually really enjoy working on my 1200. Having someone else work on it would be like cheating myself out of that fun. B) The kind of people who get their cars rebuilt by Overhaulin' either don't have the skills, the money, or the time to build their own car. I do. I'd let him build me pretty much anything but a 510 or a 1200, but just because I want to build it myself. Not because I think he'd fuck it up. Quote Link to comment
paradime
Understood, but would you put a different rear window and tail lights on your 1200 just because you can? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Porsche purest by any stretch, but I can appreciate the beautiful shapes, proportions, and curves of the 356 A and B. Chips motto is to "take the ugly out", but this time he missed that mark. IMO, there is no ugly to remove from that car. Short of those bumper guards anyway. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I had to look the car up and my opinion is it doesn't look that bad ,,,,,,,, but the wheels they used are awful . Quote Link to comment
paradime
my opinion is it doesn't look that bad ,,,,,,,, OK, but did he improve it, or even remove anything ugly for that matter? Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
would you put a different rear window and tail lights on your 1200 just because you can? I would not even entertain that notion. Nor would I do it to a 356, or almost any car. I like the factory lines of almost every vintage car and wouldn't change them just for the sake of changing them. Quote Link to comment
paradime
Relieved to hear you say that Da Freak. Nothing against Chip, I was just bummed he would do that. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I was just bummed he would do that. I enjoy the show, but cringe every time they do a foreign car... On an unrelated note, I never knew this was a thing.. Ferrari 206GT from the late 60s. Obvious precursor to the 246 Dino (which I thought was the first Dino), only with a few key differences... Early 70s 256 Dino for reference... Quote Link to comment
