Fat510
oooh that engine is ridiculously clean :o is that a custom made oil pan or did you buy it? Quote Link to comment
mhub91
bought that. it's on FRsport for a few hundred. Quote Link to comment
KPA10
As Mark mentioned, it was a bought one. Just gives a bit of extra capacity. The engine and gearbox have been two packed and cleared. It should be able to handle the heat. Still waiting for the rocker cover and inlet plenum to be polished and clear coated. cheers 1 Quote Link to comment

a.d._510_n_ok
I'd rather take an ass-whooping than install an A10 vinyl dash cap. the mounting screws face to the inside of the dash, out of sight and require a flexibility of the wrist that I haven't had since Playboy was putting out girlie videos on beta. I got it done but if I never have to another one I'll be just as happy as if I had good sense. 1 Quote Link to comment
KPA10
I know what you mean as I have just been screwing mine back in. I decided to instal the gauges out of a 200SX which is similar to your 240SX. It is the same car that the motor came from. I had to do a fair bit of custom work in making the speedo surround and removing the radio and clock for the new gauges. The dash is dipped in a film which gives it the carbon fibre look. 2 Quote Link to comment

I considered doing something like a carbon fiber wrap on mine for that very reason! Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
does that dip strengthen the old brittle plastic? It's really not much more than a really good coat of paint in the strength regard. Quote Link to comment
KPA10
I don't think there is much strength in it. I haven't seen that hydrographics clip but great in showing how it works. I haven't seen what can be done with a wrap but probably good job as well. I used a lot of araldite to glue the new plastic in for around the speedo. The gauges sit inside pvc pipe fitting that worked out really well. They have a thread about half way in and the gauge rests against this. I then used car bog to make the shape and smooth it out to the original plastic. I put plenty of support in there just to make sure it didn't crack after all the work to get it ready. So many good things out there now to customise the car it is great. Still deciding on interior colours. I will keep the updates coming cheers Quote Link to comment

I'm not feeling your new gauge setup, but I like how clean the rest of it is :) Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
What originally went in that area? I think the placement is super. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
What originally went in that area? I think the placement is super. I'm pretty sure the vents are the two holes in the middle. Looking at pics of Aussie Stanzas, it looks like a clock on the left and a radio on the right. Quote Link to comment

dukerollo
Like the man said, Naaow!! Escort seats do pop on fairly easily, but (at least the way the p.o. mounted mine) you will have your dome buried in the headliner. They would work well for a short ass I guess. 1 Quote Link to comment
