skyblue
Steered hearing an exhaust leak recently. The culprit. Changed it out and much better. But it still leaks slightly. Annoying, but at least it's much quieter. Quote Link to comment
mattyhacks71
I have the same problem, brand new gasket but still leaks. I even did my best to grind the flange down flat 1 Quote Link to comment

Anonymous Waffle
Steered hearing an exhaust leak recently. The culprit. Changed it out and much better. But it still leaks slightly. Annoying, but at least it's much quieter. Is that the gasket that comes with the metal rings around the inner exhaust pipe? I had to remove the rings on mine in order for it to have clearance, and that caused it to leak after about 1k miles later. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Also if your exhaust pipe doesn't angle towards the manifold correctly.. the mating surface will not be even. Pressure on one side would cause a leak eventually. Quote Link to comment
skyblue
My exhaust hangs a bit low cause of a broken hanger at the rear crossmember so in thinking that's the problem. 1 Quote Link to comment

4perrev
Sweet looking. So jealous of the Weber! I need to buy me a set, when I get the car ready to drive, but still a ways off! Don't you get water inside with the wells cut? Quote Link to comment
skyblue
Thanks. Pretty happy with the weber. In the trunk a little I'm sure. But in the back no cause the hole is outside the weatherstripping. Quote Link to comment

shacks510
Damn. I need to pick up a stock body 510 so I can have the joy of playing with all the factory Z wheels. Quote Link to comment
skyblue
Took a trip to Eugene this last weekend and noticed a rattling sound in mid 2000 rpm. Turned out it was my velocity stack. The new air cleaner assembly made enough of a gap leaving the stacks loose. My solution, Zip tie pieces on the clamps. 3 Quote Link to comment
mattyhacks71
Another fix would be ditch the air filter and just have sweet looking stacks ;) 3 Quote Link to comment
r0p0doe
Another fix would be ditch the air filter and just have sweet looking stacks ;) I 2nd that motion 1 Quote Link to comment
Duke
Or leave the air filter and go with bolt on stacks. Not running an air filter on a street car is not the smartest thing IMO. 2 Quote Link to comment
skyblue
I've had no filter since the engine was rebuilt. But I figured since I DD this bad girl I probably want to avoid anything bad getting in there to fuck shit up. I'll take it off For track days and autocross. I didn't even consider bolt on stacks. Thx. 1 Quote Link to comment
