the510keeper
I have heard if you metal prep then bondo, bondo will not stick I have metal prepped rust off, then epoxied, then grind back the area i needed to fill. That way this is no rust. Cool thing about epoxy is once your panel is sealed you don't have to remove it all if you get carried away with your filler. It must be scuffed however 1 Quote Link to comment
Camtron
There ez to mount, I think I pulled these from the trunk of a newer Audi. Unfortunately I did not have ball studs like I put on Rusty Birdbut a drill and some bolt work just find. The shocks from a BMW trunk work great too. You can also get them from McMaster-Carr new for relatively cheap. I think I got everything I needed for less than $40. r0p0doe
Go for it, I think it would look bad ass with thoes wheels if it stayed bare metal. Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
Yep it's bare metal for sure I will be replacing the door and rocker on the pass side. and it will have black flares Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Trying something new on this car before I tell people i can do it. Dash pads are always fucked up, So i took a bad pad and resurfaced it. 1st step took a grinder with a 36gt disc and shaved the volcanoes, and roughed it up. Then a generous coat of kitty hair fiber glass filler Sand that with a bondo hog (80 gt) and apply a thin coat of body filler Sand that with a DA 80gt, smooth everything over and it is ready to recover. Next step upholstery shop 1 Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Installing flares with the help form Skib and getting ready for the Datsloco show Once the show is over this bad boy is heading to Wagon Jons for buttoning up. Ready for front flares A little hammer and dolly work to roll the flare up to match the flare on the flare Didn't have time to wash the dust off or bolt up the right side flares Lots of positive comments at the Datsloco swap meet car show today, thanks everybody Quote Link to comment
SlottedMagz
I can't believe I missed your post abbot the mirrors. I don't have a pic but their the same as the bluebird mirror with the exceptions of being black and their stalks are a few mm longer, the install would probs have to be changed a wee bit for them to to functional. But with the flares and those mirrors I think it would tie the car together very nicely Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
cool i want to see them Quote Link to comment
