the510keeper
Wagon Jon has had the Silver Bullet for a couple weeks working out some details, Im just not good at. I agree he does look constipated :) Why do they call him Wagon Jon That's why Reran some fuel lines did some electrical, new ground straps and so on Now back at home with less then 2 weeks til Canby. I'm looking at Victory with a sigh babe, looks like we might be driving a Chevy truck to Canby WTF Then i remember Virginia http://community.ratsun.net/topic/32093-meet-virginia/ Check it if you haven't On with working instead of crying, Vodka, 5 hour energy, and cranberry, try it I dare you. Had one of Victory's' concockions Work till 3am and couldn't sleep til 4am wow. 1st Goal install the front seats, Getta Recaros (brackets are all electric and 3 point mounting base) Here's the story First remove this hunk of concoction shit Virgin base to work with :) Cut this u shaped metal away from hunk of shit just removed, (this will bolt back to the floor) Remove the sliders from your fav 510 seats. Bolted the u shaped base to the base of the seat, drill holes in the 510 sliders, then welded them solid. Stock risers fit and good to go. One cool thing about these Recaros is the width between sliders is the same as stock 510s. No holes drilled n to the car itself however I did have to weld in a support bracket for the front as the factory support was gone when floors were replaced 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
i wish i would have put the sliders on.... Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Andrew took the day to mod and install the pass seat Victory painted and installed the dash grids and the dash pad Then she cut out a bunch of rear deck boards Fucking cut open wheel wells Had to weld tabs on to the outter area of the cut wheel wells to mount the flares Opened these up to accommodate the angle of the flare 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
Man.. I went to do that seat swap today. I followed a few guides, they were basically all the same, for toyota MR2 seats. When I got the seat out, and all torn apart (mr2 seat also). I noticed the adjuster on the 510 seat was in the front, not on both sides as in your pics. What a fucking let down :( Think I got it figured out but have to wait until I get a few dollars in my pocket for some more 1X square tubing and cutting discs. Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Bag o cookies yo Yep Randy and Jackie came by, hooked us up with 1inch spacers. Push the wheels out a little more to fill the rear flares out Then Victory and I removed the flares and cleaned things up, little painting. It was like 68 degrees and raining all day, WTF The square area above the flare is the mail box door Mirrors have been decided on BMW 320i Weld in a plate and so on Also changed the pass door, don't ask me why Victory has also been busy polishing the front end parts, pretty 1 Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Trying real hard to make this complete before the 20 hour round trip to Canby. So why in the fuck am i posting when I could be working on it? I don't do well in the shop once I paint something and the smell lingers, not to mention Victory says I need a break. Today task finish gas door and stuff On to the wheels, Yep we got some 16s on the rear and 14s on the front, why you ask. The rears were originally cut our for huge box flares. With the 14s in back, there was a lot of room, and the rear flares are a couple inches bigger. 14s fit great in the front, and I had a complete set of them already. Also installed a different door on the pass side, so We metal prepped it and cleared it, the gas door and recleared a fender edge. 1 Quote Link to comment

the510keeper
Well decided to take the plunge and replace the fucked up rocker on the pass side. Had Andrew remove the doner rocker Then Victory stripped it Got most the pass door put back together This is your best friend when installing new rubber or just sealing out the weather. It's also clear so if you get carried away you wont see it as bad as the black 3m weather stripping adhesive. Sexy new rubber New electric fan 12inch, had to notch the lower molding. There was no room between the engine and radiator. Quote Link to comment

I stripped and cleared the inside exposed area also, looks way better then green. Baked it in the sun shortly after, and rehung it that night. We installed a black door to be able to drive it to the alignment shop. (while clearing the door the car was getting an alignment) Last night worked out the driver door detail, installed door panel etc, Also got the emblem and running light installed on the lt fender.
