converted_to_datsun
Oh haha thanks Skib. I was having a tough time finding high temp in a non spray can. I have white on my shelf already Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Tried painting with the white but it wouldn't go on smoothe and I'm add so I sanded down the stripes and letters. I'm happy with the result 1 Quote Link to comment

converted_to_datsun
Well another update haha prolly gonna turn into a how to when it's all finished. I found the seat base I needed for my mr2 seats I'm going to modify to bolt right in my 620. Just so happened the mr2 they got in at the junk yard had only one seat in it and it happened to be the one I needed to steal parts off. So I got my new seat base and started modifications a bit The donor The base Cut off the rear brackets for starters And a refresher of what they look like (right) More to come later but need daylight to do more 1 Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
So my truck was having all sorts of crazy voltage problems and turned out to be the alternator... It was only a year old and the voltage regulator went out in the alt. I picked up a 280zx alt like Skib put on the 710 but was way too big around so ended up getting a stock 35 amp... I really wanted that 70amp one to work but at least I'm back on the road The 70 amp next to the tiny 35 amp Quote Link to comment
mattyhacks71
The seat on the right looks like someone skinned snoopy :crying: Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Haha well snoopy will live on forever in my truck! No worries it's not made from animal products Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Well progress is slow cause of life but I was getting tired of my interior light not working in the morning when it's soo dark out so I decided to make it work Started with a nice white vinegar soak... Cleaner but no dice Then I resorted to more safisticated methods... But no power to any if the wires that go to it Then I found a female connector that was all by itself that has power when the key is on and plugged it in And now it works!!! The key has to be on tho but I figure that's one less way I can kill my battery haha Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
gotta love the quick fixes Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Heck yea dude I usually leave for work at 630 so a light is really nice to have Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Well I officially love my test light now! I fixed my cigarette lighter too... I was the one who made it not work in the first place when I first got my truck but it's fixed now. I pulled some wires apart and found out a coue wires got swapped... So there was probably something else missing a function I didn't even know about. And best part is it was only a 30 second fix and now I can plug in my phone and GPS when I drive Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Went up to kelso and picked up a couple parts from the freaky 510. Got a z style air cleaner to modify for my su's and a heat shield for my su's too Pretty cool lookin air cleaner Heat shield! I was gonna try to make one but this is soo much better Quote Link to comment

converted_to_datsun
Well I hit a bump yesterday and my exhaust caught and came apart so I bolted that back together. Then since I was in the mood I put a coat of crappy paint on the top of the air cleaner so it'll look a littler better till my su's are ready to go in there. Before After Quote Link to comment
izzo
Even if that paint is "crappy" it still looks better. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
X2 man, its the little things Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Went to the junk yard today cause they got in a 79 and got some good parts. I got a new headlight switch to replace the one the po hacked into place... It was scary haha. The new one looked brand new probably replaced recently. And also got the saught after 79 only intermittent whiper switch!! Headlights rigged to work New one! Whiper switches. The bigger one is the 3 speed one Plugs are different.... Was suppose to plug right in Stock New one Same number of pins... Probably adapt the new one to work just fine Quote Link to comment
420n620
you will need the relay for the wipers to be intermittent. Just getting the switch won't make it work. just thought you should know. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
you will need the relay for the wipers to be intermittent. Just getting the switch won't make it work. just thought you should know. Thats what i was talking about when you called Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
It plugged right into the harness in the other truck... Where would the relay be? I looked and it was only attached to the harness and the light box Quote Link to comment
