converted_to_datsun
Got a new sticker thanks to eagle_adam and jasifrass on the condition that Dutch bros is gone. Easy choice, that Datsun difference is soo much better and I don't like Dutch bros anyway 1 Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Nice build man! Is that vinyl stuff spray on or...? Looks good,I might have to try it. Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Thanks dude! And yea it's sparay on. It's kinda a stain, you can buy it at auto parts stores. It looks like they were black to begin with it's awesome Quote Link to comment
Draker
I was wondering the same thing. It really looks good. I've was watching some videos on vinyl dye.. Take some close up pics! Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Sweet! All my panels are blue now, so this is great. Thanks man. ill be checking to see how well it holds up... Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Here's a couple close up pics. Apparently you can spray carpet and fabric with it too. I probably wouldn't do it on a vynle seat in case it wears through eventually. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Looks great. what did you use to prep the panels? I heard TSP or rubbing alcohol works best... Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Haha scrubbed the heck out of them with dish soap and rinced really well. Dish soap removes oils and stuff. But they do sell special stuff to clean the surface before you spray Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Picked up a set of Kyb gas adjusts from one of the parts trucks Cleaned them up a little before I put them in Installed them Huge improvement from the old crusty ones Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
lookn good man!! happy to see the dutch fuckers part gone  Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Vinyl dye/paint is just fine on seats. But I would recommend VHT vinyl dye over Rustoleum. Better adhesion. My back seat has a coat of vinyl dye on it, I need to do another, it still looks a tad brown. Anyways, good job! definitely helps to make the truck more uniform. Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Haha yea the Datsun difference sticker is awesome And leacon I was mainly talking drivers seat cause the see a ton of use. That back seat of yours looks great for only 1 coat. I used the duplicolor brand and used the whole can on my doors just to make sure it lasts and covered well Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I still think you will be fine. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Fuck.. In gonna get some of that dye.. Looks great! Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
I never thought about using the die till I saw the seat leacon painted with it. I would have never known it was painted if he didn't tell me Quote Link to comment
converted_to_datsun
Ok time for an update...... Moar low!! Was waiting to update till I lowered the front too but that's gonna have to wait till I get wheels with less poke or give in and role my fenders. Put full bump stops on the back for now to keep from popping a tire haha. Oh and 5 speed swap this weekend... Finally ordered a trans rear seal and a rear main seal for the motor while I'm in there. Before (old pic cause I forgot to take a before) After (yes I know the front needs Moar low too) Passenger side Drivers side.... Why is it lower?? Prolly the leaf.... My new 5 speed! Going in soon!
