Busta Nut
Can anyone tell me what they think happened....... I think it was lack of oil to #4.....but I could be wrong....just what it looks like to me......maybe caused by over-revving?? Rist pin is snug now also.....piston head does not flop around loosly...... All the other cylinders look fine.....minor scrapes on #3 walls.....crank...head...valves....all appear ok.... Duke
Can anyone tell me what they think happened....... Maybe some FOD was ingested into cylinder #4 and reeked havoc? Perhaps a proper air filter is in order. 1 Quote Link to comment
Busta Nut
Maybe some FOD was ingested into cylinder #4 and reeked havoc? Perhaps a proper air filter is in order. Would something small enough to fit through the screens I use cause this?? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
rings not gapped??????????? for #4 cyl water pump front cover cracked letting water in or around water passage from front cover to block(left front side cover gasket) by best guess I hate those 2 pc intakes for sidedrafts Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Looks to me like it got hot. The water in the oil could be explained by that.. also keep in mind that #4 cylinder is furthest away from the water pump/radiator, so it will by default have the most potential for highest engine temperature. 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
running super lean for a bit hauling down freeway?? I'm thinking once damage started it probably just snowballed. When you run a 2 stroke (chainsaws weed wacker singles) on straight gas the pistions always come out like that,, and alot of times once motor cools down it will run for awhile and the seize to a stop again. But yours having 3 more pulling it around would keep it from stopping. But that's a guess. 1 Quote Link to comment
