datsunfreak
Digging this one out too... Yeah... I was staring at it on Saturday thinking "you need to work on this thing SOON"... ^_^ Link to comment
datsunfreak
Did some horse trading for these... 13x8 -32 Cragar wheels from the mid-70s Will need to ditch these monster 215/60-13 tires for some slimmer (and shorter) 185/60-13s soon. I wasn't sure about the chrome finish, but I think on a blue car they could work well. May just get them bead blasted and powdercoated silver? Link to comment
bonvo
leave them chrome!!!! glad to see your keeping the round eye front Link to comment
Bob3
ya it bolts in and the brake lines should just bolt up... they are in the same location as on the 210. I hope you document your axel swap. This is very interesting to me. . Link to comment
datsunfreak
I hope you document your axel swap. This is very interesting to me. . He did document it. In his build thread. B) And honestly there's not much to "document". It literally bolts right into the car. Link to comment
mrmark
Nice work! I'm working on de-modding my 210 to being more of a street car. I've put in some nicer rear springs, raised the front coil overs, installed a push button start/stop, and currently putting in a civic center console. I'm not set on completely removing the full cage just yet. I'm working around it for now. Link to comment

datsunfreak
Cool - thanks datsunfreak! Are you building a 210 soon? Would be interesting to see a "Bob" built 210. Link to comment

datsunfreak
i think hes looking for info for the 710 he just got it to has the weaker diff in it Then absolutely none of that information is going to help him. B) He should try an H190 from a 510 wagon. Will probably bolt right into a 710... Link to comment
datsunfreak
Took the tires off the Cragar S/ST wheels today. Not 8" wide like I'd hoped. Link to comment
datsunfreak
Tires on two of them, Falken ZIEX-912 185/60-13 A little "before-and-after" some polishing Both wheels after Didn't end up with as much stretch as I wanted, but it's decent. Not enough to be instantly noticeable, but a bit, so it should satisfy both factions. B) Obligatory lip depth shot... 1 Link to comment
datsunfreak
Also picked up a Nissan Comp header for it. Gonna clean it up, maybe get it ceramic coated... Link to comment
Laecaon
Should have gotten the 512s. They have a rim protector on them, which makes them looked stretched. I have Falken Zeix 512 195/50/15 on 15x7, and my tires definitely look stretched. Link to comment

I like the 512 for a daily driver (great rain tire), but for a sunny day toy, the 912 is way stickier. Link to comment
sunny310
any updates?? Link to comment
datsunfreak
any updates?? Nothing worth reporting, just acquiring more stuff... Decided to go as light weight (and as true to the TS Sunny Cup heritage) as I can so I bailed on the KA idea and decided to stay A-series and shave as much weight out of the car as I can. Did some horse trading for a ported/polished race head. Has ceramic-coated intake/exhaust ports and combustion chambers. Did some more wheeling and dealing for some Solex 40s and a polished intake... Wanted to do something kinda crazy and found some spun aluminum Hilborn stacks at the swap meet. Only weigh about an ounce each. $30 for 8 of them ain't bad. B) Also traded Tim some parts he needed for an A15 he had gathering dust. Soon I'll put the A15 on a stand, rebuild the bottom end and put the "new" head/carbs/header on it. Planning to take the entire suspension out of my parts car in the next few weeks. Couldn't decide whether to build the suspension before painting the car and risk overspray all over it, or after paint and risk scratching the car. So I decided I'd build up the suspension on the floor using all the bits from the parts car. Then it gets painted at stock ride height, and when it comes back to me I can just jack it up and swap one entire suspension for another. 2 Link to comment
datsunfreak
And to answer why updates have been so terribly slow, I've been helping Tim build his V8 B210, and finish my 1200 Coupe at the same time. So, you'll see a lot more progress on this car when those get a bit closer to finished. Link to comment
sunny310
sweet scores man. also im glad ur stickin with the good old A-series. keep us posted...don't leave us hangin!! B) Link to comment
ggzilla
FRAM! That's an H95 head. Small oval swirl ports. A guy I talked to today asked which head he has. He said 32mm oval. Turns out that was the manifold ports. The head was actually 36mm oval - a H89 import performance head! Link to comment
datsunfreak
That's an H95 head. Small oval swirl ports. Not small any more... Link to comment
ggzilla
your photo -- they look small. 34 mm tall x 28 wide is standard A14/A15 size 36 mm tall x 30 wide is A12GX/Nissan Comp size They look like they were ported wider, but no taller than standard A14 size. Link to comment
