Farmer Joe
dad did have an idea to weld a piece of thick aluminum pipe to the edge of the adapter plate we made. the heater hose that runs over the intake would be a prime candidate for this, as its first to get hot.. weld the pipe to the edge, have it tapped for a hose fitting. once it warms up, it should transfer enough heat to keep it from freezing when im driving. its an actual issue ive been dealing with since its gotten cold... i think the KA has low compression though. ive gotta say that the main culprit behind the pain in the ass its is to start in the cold. when its above 32* its doable, but below freezing it just cranks and cranks till its flooded. fernando has a comp tester. guess its time to check it on the KA for the first time.. Farmer Joe
its a gas model which is why i was kinda curious. it has hydraulic assisted brakes like a diesel model would have too. has the 6.0L LS style engine. pretty sure it should have the 4l80e in it too. Quote Link to comment
sedition88
It was probably a work truck of some kind. When I was working for Chevy in Utah I asked the same thing. It's an option for people that need to run a bunch of add ons Quote Link to comment
