izzo
i cant tell if im looking at sick620's exhaust or monkey's... i dont get why everyone spends money on exhaust when its at a stock ride height, and then lowers the vehicle just for it to get trashed... Because you're just not cool until you rip your own exhaust off. 1 Quote Link to comment

It wasn't at stock ride height when I had it done. The torsion adjustment was temporary. It's back at a usable level now. i was just curious what the max lowest it could go was. It's back up now and much better. Current// I'll be painting very soon! Theres no turning back now.. Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
I'm loving the white lip rims on that truck! Gives a great oldschool hotrod look! Also, welcome to... THE LEFT FENDER CLUB!! 1 Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Thanks man! :fu: I won't be in the club for long! I'm gonna be straightening the body out over the next few weeks and I'll have it painted in the next two months. Same exact color and paint scheme. Also, anyone have suggestions as to how I can increase handling on this old girl? I've got poly sway bar end links, and I'm doing poly bracket bushings along with it soon. Once I get my beefy tires on the front, I'd like to be able to take it for leisurely drives through twisty roads with my disk conversion. Quote Link to comment

Lolz idk on datsun trucks ... i fail ... Quote Link to comment
shawn2122
Truck looks GREAT!!!! Just went through all 9 pages. I just got a 74' a couple weeks ago but is not road worthy yet. Quote Link to comment
dennis
coming along nicely keep it up  Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Lol DTP. Datsun trucks dont have front springs, just torsion bars, which is hard to increase rate on. Maybe swapping to 720 bars? ANd stiffer shocks to accommodate. Which then means no strut bar on the top. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Thanks for the suggestions. What I think I'm going to do for the rear is 3'' blocks on my 720 springs and some air shocks to stiffen up the rear and. For the front... welll... undecided right now. Truck looks GREAT!!!! Just went through all 9 pages. I just got a 74' a couple weeks ago but is not road worthy yet. Thanks man! I see you're in GA with a 620 as well. We'll have to get together some time! We're pulling a 620 crew together soon :P coming along nicely keep it up  Thanks man! Good stuff coming soon :P Here's a picture from Import Alliance last week that someone took. 1 Quote Link to comment

metalmonkey47
Dude that thing it awesome. I read throught everything and I hope my truck turns out that cool. Mine has a long way to go tho Thanks man! Time and dedication is all it takes. I was lucky enough to get such a cool truck from the start, but now that I'm going over it with a fine tooth comb, I'm finding so many short cuts that people took that are really going to slow down my progress on the good stuff. I pulled the seat out and stripped the carpet/deadening out and found this mess. It cleaned up pretty well. I just stripped it all down and sprayed over some good primer. I've got some roll in bedliner that I'm putting over the primer. So far the stuff has been amazing to me, so I'll keep using it. It's kevlar enforced stuff and pretty tough. Seals very well too. For now though... 1 Quote Link to comment

You're gonna enjoy the hell out of it. Photography is such an interesting hobby to get into. I love it to death. I doubt I'll ever be a pro or anywhere near it, but I'll keep working my ass off to get better! We gotta get a few blocks in under that rear axle... Yessir! 3 inch blocks coming soon. I need to order my air shocks at the same time, or else I risk cutting tires on the fenders. The air shocks will give me a little more support. ALSO coming soon, I'm liquidating all of my leftover Datsun parts for CHEAP including that Nismo manifold and I'm getting a closed chamber A87 head w/ a big Racer Brown cam. Quote Link to comment
Master-O-Turbonics
Run the dog dishes in the back man. Slam that thing! Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Run the dog dishes in the back man. Slam that thing! Can't :( going from the 14's to the 15's was a big step in my final drive. I can't go back down to 14's now. lol I'd be going to slow. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Just gonna leave these here... I'm making new door cards using some nice vinyl backing I bought for a nice bit of $$$ from a quilt shop. Also testing out some paint. I happened to be walking down the paint isle at home depot and spotted this. It's nearly perfect match to what I have now. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
I have a serious addiction to shiny things. I put on a new rad cap last week and noticed my heater valve produced a steady leak, and my upper radiator hose started seeping, so I went ahead and replaced them both. Went ahead and polished the lower housing up and put on new hardware as well and painted the radiator (as seen above) after cleaning it up and straightening out some fins. Little by little it's starting to look MUCH better under the hood. Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Inside is looking muchs betta matt-lock. Upper hose and heater control valve both started to leak after radiator cap replacement? . Do you by chance have a blown hg that is pressurizing the cooling system?. Just a thought but i always assume the worst haha. Whats with the stripper glitter on the radiator ........ !? Love this truck! Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Thanks man! I love the metallic stuff :D it adds a nice touch. My old cap was pretty much destroyed so my thought is that it wasnt sealing up to 14psi like the new cap does, so it started caving in at the weak spots Quote Link to comment
