Edz280zx
My buddy had his mother-in-laws Oldsmobile painted at Maaco...It actually turned out really nice. Probably has to do with who's working at which one. Quote Link to comment

The problem is, only the close friends to the owner of said franchise, or the close friends to the person painting at that location knows whom the painter is, qualifications wise. Going to a Maaco shop blindfolded is like playing russian roulet. You can get an excellent job for a few bucks, or you can buy a hell of a nighmare for nothing:( Jaime.__________________________________________________________ Quote Link to comment

Cuts metal like mad
My wifes car was painted by maaco, we've had it for 4 years now and its still shiny and nice... Some of them are good, some are crap. They are a franchise and not corporate... so each one is responsible for their own quality control. Quote Link to comment

I recommend a gun and a compressor. Take your time and get the good paint and mix it right. :D Quote Link to comment

Phlebmaster
Cool! That will make it real easy to get even coats. I found that using thinner paint and more coats gave a better look. :D Quote Link to comment
