INDY510
wow that's a tough stance.....really like that, too bad its unuseable....its definately pimp....one of my fav shots ot your car...wait, so the plus twentys on the front dont even fit the rear ... or just cause u have maximized your lowness it rubs? u think those +20's would fit the back of my wagon... tristans 15x8 +12's looked real close to clearing the lip...i was gonna run a similar wheel to tristans 15x8 but in a 7 inch wie wheel these wheels on this car have always been the cats meow... Keep in mind my entire rear suspension/floor/shock towers are raised 4 inches ..... So no brake drums and 16x7.5 +20 "almost" fit the rear crossmember is only raised 3" in these pics: Needs moar loar... Link to comment
bonvo
that was before you took it apart lol you mean to tell me that now with all the metal fab that has been done that they wont fit in the back? Link to comment
INDY510
that was before you took it apart lol you mean to tell me that now with all the metal fab that has been done that they wont fit in the back? The rear crossmember is raised 3 inches in the pics on this page .... ... and the shock towers/diff mounts are raised 4 inches ... I need to raise the crossmember another inch ... .. but then there will be less negative camber,,,, and even FWD offsets won't fit I'm just trying to decide if senior citizen offset wheels, or a flared 4dr is worse .... I would need to re-design the floor/cage if I don't raise the crossmember the extra inch to clear the driveshaft over the floor bars Link to comment
bonvo
flared 4door!!!!! do it your already half way there Link to comment
SR20DETdatsun510
I think the key is in the shock towers, control arms half shafts and cross member. Shorten the control arms and half shafts, move the control arm mounts on cross member in and weld a 5" half pipe into the tower to make room for the coils to move inward.... I am sure tou can figure out the spindles. Link to comment
jrock4224
What's the tires size u running 195 45 ? I like the from inside the trunk shot, reminds me of my Mazda ..... 18 inch titans make tire rub body line and I have a four inch line of burnt paint right on the bend ...... matches the twenty two hole in the cab Link to comment
FiveTenzo
I'm just trying to decide if senior citizen offset wheels, or a flared 4dr is worse .... What are senior citizen wheels? And dont you hate flared 4drs? So your telling me you went through all this trouble and guna design a car you dont even like? Link to comment
jeffball610
NO FLARES! Since you've gone through this much trouble, why not fabricate a new rear crossmember? You can dial in any camber you want, move the trailing arms in any direction (including inward for more wheel offset). You would of course need to shorten the driveshafts. A tubular crossmember might be a great option at this stage. And maybe some mini-tubs. 1 Link to comment
INDY510
What are senior citizen wheels? And dont you hate flared 4drs? Over +65 offset wheels ..... ...... if i was going to narrow the rear track width...... I would have moved the shock towers inward ..... flares have been an option from the beginning ...... it will look more functional and be easier to finish with flares Link to comment
INDY510
. Get over it ..... .. flares already happened: ....... Link to comment
Laecaon
Hells yea! Flares on a 4dr are awesome! Especially since it is not so common, or nearly as easy as a 2dr. Link to comment

INDY510
. These cars are built like tin cans.... . everything I thought was structural isn't ...... I honestly don't know what is holding these cars together ...... it must be a combination of every piece of sheet metal I cut out ...... So .... .. a few more cuts and I should be done ..... Link to comment
