I didn't see anyway around it, the whole back-half was heavier than it was strong ... and if I put any wieght on the trunk it would bend the quarter panels the car sat for 3 months while I tried to figure out a way around cutting off the rocker/quarter panels... so get over it yes ,,, I said the rocker panels need to get hacked off to go lower .... :frantics: The whole back half is re-movable .... to make the chassis stronger,,,, and to fit the wheels at full drop Link to comment

I comend you for what you have done and are doing. You seem to be recieving the shit for this build. I'm sure everyone would love to atleast try what your doing. Who doesn't want to build a badass 510. I see this as art, you can always get another shell, if it doesn't work. I'm not sure what your next step is in the process... But i'm thinking tube frame the back half, kind like what blueridgespeed has done. Don't give up and keep up great work! Awesome Job! BTW, 12a or 13b it, its cheap low center of gravity and lite.. i know its been done, but it fits this application. You can easily raise the engine to line up with the rear end and still put the stock hood back on.. Link to comment

Wash his hands of it. You all have put too high of an expectation without doing any of the work. I have better things to do . I learned alot with this project, mostly that I don't want anymore Datsuns or project cars :mad: having one less car would be a huge relief, but having pieces of a 510 shell rusting outside for a few years wouldn't hurt my plan for this "shell" ..... like ]2edeye said, "I don't even know what's going to happen next" Link to comment
