Well then, I guess I will have to start the ebay thing for the 510 goon :sneaky:   In my searching today, I did rack up 3 2000gt mainlines.  I am thinking that they are rarer than the 70 celica.  Out of 5 Wal-marts and a Toy R us,  I only found the 3.  Yes, I bought all three, plus some others.

I am still looking for my 2000GT mainline, I bit the bullet on the Treasure Hunt version and payed about $12.00 for it. I did score a few Star Trek Enterprises today as well as a few Kool Kombi's in orange. That wagon is not mine, it was a custom by some unknown.

Ratwagons been out of action the last two weeks.

The cut was deeper than I thought.

Now I have some minor flexibility back in the finger I've started back on the Manga 510.

Not a great deal to see, but, some progress below.

Hope to have the flares and rear spoiler ready to JBweld onto the 510 shell tonite.

Careful mixing the turkey and the knife, them turkeys can come back to bite you.

Ha ha, don't know how that photo got in there!

It's Jack Daniels today.

In moderation, of course :)

Rear wing ready to JBweld on, just about to start cutting the flares out with the Dremel.

Once that's done, well, drinks time :)

Thanks mate.

Hope it comes up as good as what I have pictured in my head.

Kind of felt guilty cutting up a shell, at least it's only a Hotwheels one and not a full size one (or a 510)

Now that would be a tragedy :)

Don't look like you have put to big of dent in that bottle :)

Hmmmm, 345 ml (roughly 12oz 5.6% alcohol beer bottle). Roughly ten of those downed last night plus a considerable amount of Jack Daniels.

No wonder my mouth was a bit dry this morning :)

Just about ready to JB weld the back flares on the 510 shell.

Life's good!

Hell!

A gazillion projects, work, family, beer :) , and Datsuns.

Poor excuse, and not much done, but, front flare on.

Got to say, the bead blaster cleans up a multitude of sins and poor workmanship with these things.

Nice work, what/how are you attatching the flairs and other body parts? Epoxy and Jim Beam? Looking good.

Thanks, it's a bloody fiddly job.

Using JB Weld to attach the flares and am also using a two part epoxy we call "Araldite" (as well as a combination of Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Wild Turkey depending on what's available).

It's not the best photo.

Grabbed a couple random spraycans and did a Fluro orange undercoat, followed by a gloss red 2nd coat, intermixed with Matt black and a final gloss red top coat.

Looks better in real life.
