BayAreaDimer
this is for my 2 door, not the wagon Quote Link to comment
Zeusimo
Make Your Own Octopus Extractors And Run A Pair To The Left And Another Pair To The Right With The Smallest Muffler You Can Find  Quote Link to comment
BayAreaDimer
haha that was my idea but i thought there might of been a more practical way to go about it Quote Link to comment
Zeusimo
I Think That's As Simple As It Gets... Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
Why would you want side exit exhaust? You already figured out the biggest problem..........there's no room for any type of muffler/glasspack, especially on a lowered car. It's not like routing it through the crossmember is hard, since that's how they were designed to begin with. Plus, side exit exhaust can be really irritating on the long haul. Sounds cool for a short bit, but it'll irritate the crap out of you if you're in the car for an length of time. I've done it, I know. Stick with a rear exhaust. Quote Link to comment
skunk
run duel glasspacks as the laker pipes on the side of the car. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Or get earplugs. Quote Link to comment

RAlly_DatoB210
Just run 4 equal length pipes out your front fender lol. Disregard burning up valves and the black smog and flames likely to jump out the side... But hey it would kick ass lol Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
There's not enough clearance for them even on a stock height car, lowered is a waste of time. Within a week there'll be a U Tube of a Datsun ripping off his side pipe while driving into an In-N-Out. It's a 510 not a '66 Corvette. Now if you ran dual pipes from the L16 manifold back under the car and ran quiet mufflers and dual tips out the back... then, I would be impressed. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Jesusno2 just did it (1 side) on his wagon... Quote Link to comment
fisch
You could do it like the Bob '68 rat concept! Exit through the body! Quote Link to comment

johnbureezu
Here's what my side pipe sounds like. It's 3" straight from the turbo. Need to find a pic since it comes out of the left side. Quote Link to comment
datrod
I've been thinkin about dummy lake pipes for my wagon. But not sure how much shit I'll get from all you guys. Not that I give a rats ass. :fu: Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
Trust me, everyone I know that did the side exhaust thing grew to hate it. So go ahead, find out for yourself and do it. As for twin pipes coming out the back of a 4 cylinder, GHEY! Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Twin pipes look amazing! But knowing its from a 4 cyl is kinda lame. If you do it right it might not be so bad. My moms suv thing has a transverse V6 with twin pipes... it definitely Y's, silly Dodge trying to make it look cool. Quote Link to comment
BayAreaDimer
the muffler and pipes are already done, i found a really flat muffler from a supercharged thunderbird, a little louder than i wanted but its not too bad. my camera doesnt work, sorry guys, but im content with it, it hasnt scraped yet and i DID go to in and out this week Quote Link to comment
NOTES...
Cool to see how its setup from the bottom though... Im planning on doing the side exit exhaust for mine, but i also like when its through the body.. more work though but if theres no room underneath it would be worth trying... Quote Link to comment
BayAreaDimer
if i could do body work i wouldve tried too, but i just painted it and dont wanna fuck anything up haha Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
You could do it like the Bob '68 rat concept! Exit through the body! I think I might do this to my car, super cool looking Quote Link to comment
