Tommy34
Although I am not the best photoshopper on this site, I decided to try and photoshop a pic to show you what the car will look like. Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
whoops i dont know how i said that twice.. sorry guys but i love this green color. just too much going on i think between the sun and the stripen on the trunk, and the bre's Quote Link to comment
nowwhat
Update? your dad said you got some work done? Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
yep some color of silver 2 tone would be nice, green is cool but the paint scheme, with the hood, trunk and 2 tone might be to busy. Here is a pic of the color idea backwards OR It's one of those things where more doesn't equal greater, simplicity is sometimes very nice. Two tone's are very nice, but 2 much 2 tone could be 2 busy. Just my option, Again just my option Merry Christmas Quote Link to comment
Jester
I think that last pic is pretty cool. Quote Link to comment
sinner720st
i think the hotwheels paint scheme is pretty cool, but in my 'option' (opinion) the trunk stripes should continue down the rear of the car. kermit grn will be sweet also Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Indy got PhotoShop for Christmas? or has learned the many wonders of GIMP... About the paint scheme. I believe it would look better without the rear stripes, or do away with the rising sun and continue the stripes on the hood. But at the end of the day it is your car, and because of that do what will make you happy. Quote Link to comment
Bob3
This is the drawing that Tommy made. I think it looks pretty cool! Quote Link to comment

Tommy34
. Here is what dad, Brian and I got done on the car tonight. We pulled the L20 out of the 620 for dad's 68 Rat. Then we put my dime on the lift to start on my engine install! :hyper: That's right, it will be The MX510! A good night! :D Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. AWESOME!!!!!! ........... I've always wanted to see a Miata powered 510 ............ it's a rear sump oil pan.. right??? Bob3
. AWESOME!!!!!! ........... I've always wanted to see a Miata powered 510 ............ it's a rear sump oil pan.. right??? Does it clear the crossmember??? ......... . any pics of the oil pan ground clearance??? . It is rear sump. It clears the cross-member perfect! The oil pan will be about 1/4" higher than the bottom of the cross-member. I will have to fab up a custom rod to connect the pitman arms under the trans and the trannie tunnel needs a lot of work, it is too small! Quote Link to comment
Jester
What are we going to do with you Mazda boys? Should be cool, that's for sure. Quote Link to comment

Bob3
. We have the motor mounts done for the MX5 motor. It fits GREAT! We need to finish up the trans mount, this will be easy, the stock mount flipped around sits directly under the MX5 stock mount. :) We need to rebuild the trans tunnel. The short throw, tight shifting Miata trans is in the perfect location for Tommy. 1 Quote Link to comment

Tommy34
. We got a lot done today. We made motor mounts, and did some slight mods to the stock tranny mount. Then it was time to start on the tranny tunnel. Thankfully we had my first racecar tub laying around as a donor. The Miata tranny tunnel is HUGE compared to the 510 tunnel. I began to grind it down to prep for welding. The MX510 is not far from coming alive! :D Quote Link to comment
