Laecaon
I had some Dunlop Direzza's on my ZX 6 spokes. Holy crap, the grip those things had. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
The plan is Federal SS 595 185 55 14. This is how they can look, though i may have to moar lower after this No doubt. B) FYI, if you are willing to spend a few more bucks, you can get the Yokohama S-Drive in the same size. This is where I'm stuck right now. Need to order a set of 185/55-14 tires and can't decide between some $250 Federals or some $340 Yokohamas. I know the Yokes are better, but are they $90 better? ^_^ http://www.tirerack....=55&diameter=14 Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
Answer: We spend 90% of our time on standard roads, not racing. Therefore they are not 90 better. =) Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
A valid point, sir. B) Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
Im currently running M+S rated tires... the teenage racecar wannabe me would have chucked em immediately. The 27yo me says, "do they hold air? yes, are they bald? no, do they fit under a 510? yes. Run it!!!" Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Wanna hear my dumbass reasoning? I want to paint the letters on the tire white. And it would look cooler if they said YOKOHAMA in white than if they said FEDERAL. I know, it's a sickness.... :frantics: 2 Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
Always loved white lettering, its a shame they dont make em anymore Quote Link to comment

rusty12ver
Here's the other thing about federals, the quality control is not as good as it would be with the yoko's. To me I would spend the extra 90 for that reason. ( radial pull on the tire) Quote Link to comment

Try rotating the tire on the wheel and re balancing. It is called phase matching by our Hunter tire balancer. It helps if the tire is not that bad. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
i have dismounted and remounted the thing on the same wheel the and tired several different combos and got it the best i could....... ...oh no, no more 521 and u now have two doors that serve no purpose....argh......
