datzenmike
Mix'n match parts? Remember I needed a boost at Canby? Well I had changed the starter when I got the car (turned out to be the battery) ... but when I went to get my spares I found 9 (nine) L and Z starters. The tenth one was for an SD25. Can you wait till Canby next year, I'll bring you one and a spare? :D Quote Link to comment
Jassifrass
I got one i just need to get it in. The bolts are being a pain but I will get it tomorrow :D Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Water in the gas tank? When on the incline it sucked it up and went into your carb perhaps? Quote Link to comment
Jassifrass
I had just put gas in the car before noobs party. it's full so i would hope not, if that is the case it's the stations fault Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Did you guys every replace that fuel pump? It was an old one.. I only had hoped it would get you home. Might not be the problem, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a new one on there.. no telling when that one will go out on you.. Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Check your fuel filters ( Replace them if you haven't for a while ) Check your fuel pump condition ,,, after sitting even for 2 weeks ,,, they can go bad  ( Lot Rot ) ((( look for smell of raw gas in oil or leaking at all around that area ))) exhaust blocked ? ( clogged muffler or cat ) <---- cause power issues , and start up issues as well as make your motor run warmer. Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
cool !Sounds like Micro nailed it ^^^ ,,, you guys seemed to have it handled.... Quote Link to comment

izzo
dont think the exhaust would cause it to smoke? somethings gotta be getting in there, is it steam or smoke? Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
i dont know...i think i may need 20 pages of help  Ima let Skib and Datzenmike finish that one ^^^ Whens the last time put in a PCV valve ? Color of smoke ? Quote Link to comment
Jassifrass
honestly im terrible with words and i dont know what a pvc valve is. i probably would if i saw it but yea i dont know. i doubt it's been changed since i got the car. the smoke was white. it was coming out by the headers and out the back. :( Quote Link to comment
izzo
hmmm PCV valve is on the intake, should be hooked to a tube going to the block. Easy to replace. Take it off and check it out, its designed to let air flow from the block into the intake, but not the other way around. I pulled the one off my 720 a while back and it was solid chunk of carbon inside there. that got replaced... Quote Link to comment
Jassifrass
ok i've always been bad with terms and such but that sounds easy enough...though my car has all the emissions crap still Quote Link to comment
Pumpkn210
thick white smoke, alot of it? Quote Link to comment
izzo
ok wrong motor but basically the same, look at the bottom of the carb, that black tube coming out of there. the tube is connected to the pcv valve. pull tube off, unscrew pcv and check it out. Yours might be towards the back of the intake Quote Link to comment
