Jassifrass Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 17, 2010 Ok, well atleast turn the engine over until both the lobes on the camshaft(exhaust and intake of the #1 cylinder; there are only 2) are pointing upward(or not touching anything). Put a pencil(pen, straw, etc..) into the #1 spark plug hole, and turn the engine over by hand until the pencil starts moving out or in(of the hole). You can tell when you're at TDC(Top Dead Center) when the pencil etc.. has stopped moving outward; it is going to start going back downward soon, as per motion of the piston in the cylinder bore. yea we did that and i took a picture and everything, thats where the picture with the red circle and arrow came from. we had it at TDC at that point Quote Link to comment

Jassifrass Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 ok so when we were putting things together we didnt have a chain with gold links so skib called atomchurch and asked him to count the links. turns out he counted the links for a l16 chain and its 2 links smaller so it was just off a tooth :lol: Quote Link to comment
