Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
It's not the needle/nozzle in the body of the carb that was having issues, it was the plunger/ball mechanism that sits on top of the fuel bowl. I believe that I have fixed the problem. The lever the pushes the plunger in when the float rises was not adjusted correctly, or somehow came misaligned over the past few days. I've run the car around campus a couple times now and there are no leaks. I'm going to keep watching it for a while and make sure that it has stopped leaking... Quote Link to comment

That's the needle valve (what we are both talking about)... as apposed to the metering needle and nozzle. Glad to hear you got it fixed ;) Quote Link to comment
Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
So when you said return lines did you mean the overflows? I've got them running into hardlines that dump under the frame rail as opposed to back into the air cleaner. The gasket had failed (or was misaligned) which was causing it to come out of both the top of the bowl and through the overflow. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Nope, I was talking about a return line to the fuel tank. Overflows vent to atmosphere like your current setup ;) Quote Link to comment

danfiveten
So blues manifold gasket is bad. Also base of carb is leaking fuel Nelson said. May be why I'm having issues. So going to take carb off and seal it with gasket sealer and see if it makes a difference. Quote Link to comment
